Sound File Question
 

Is there anyway to record a voice (on sound recorder or something) and put it on the forums?

Is there any reason why you would want to do that? O.o

And no there isn't. You'd have to host it somewhere else like yousendit.com or something.

I was thinking of posting some sound files of voice overs of me doing the characters for my oddworld movie to see if people like them or not, but it's just a little question that I would figure on asking.

Well I'm sure many of us would like to hear it. Find a place to put them, then link us to it.

There used to be a 'What do you sound like thread' many moons ago. I'd advise you to make a new one rather than search the depths of OWF for it. I'm sure it's long since exceeded forum records anyway.

Can I use Sound Recorder or does that get messed up? Can't I post the sounds as an attachment or something?

You can only upload those type of files. No wav, which is what sound recorder saves clips as.

Are you sure? My one saves them as a WMP file, but it can only open Wavs. Well etheir way, it makes no difference.

You could zip it up and upload it that way. But it will prolly be to big still.

Yeah, thats the easiest way of doing it as an upload. Shrink/Esus did it that way when he wanted to upload a voice clip for the 'what do you sound like?' thread.
