I would love Oddworld action figures, I'd buy them in a heartbeat. Bu, like most other things made in America first, we here in England would probably get them months later or never. But if they did release figures of Abe, Gluks, Sligs, mudokons etc. I'd be the first in line.

What, like an Oddworld Warhammer? How would that work, you don't exactly see mass battles in the Oddworld games. It'd certainly be interesting though, and could be alright.

Mudokon Mudarchers as bishops,
Abe as the king ;) and...I guess...the Rebel Leader...as Queen, or a female Mudokon

I would think Molluck would play as the queen fiugure, seeing how he had much more corporate power than most Gluks, and Maggie as the queen, considering she's the most important being in the Magog Cartel. Chroniclers as Bishops rather than big bros considering Big bros are more of a military creature rather than a religious figure.

Change the Mudarchers from Bishops, and make 'em in to the Shaman.

I'd say you'd have the BigBros as castles, it doesn't have to be an actual building (I have a chess set that's got elephants for castles). Then you could make the Mudarchers the castles. But where would Munch, Vykkers, Interns etc. fit in?

I suppose Vykkers would make better bishops, we really don't know that much about Chroniclers anyhow.

If they released figurines for oddworld , I would most happily rip all my jack the ripper figurines , books , and posters from their space to make way for them , i would spend every cent I had on oddworld toys. Nuff sed.

try and tie in some of your threads together. You could put this topic under your action figures one by editing the original post.

I'm not a fan of merchandise anyway. Why would I want to purchase an oddworld bed cover, or an abe beanie doll? Merchandising is never done for the good of the consumers, it is about promoting the product and increasing revenue from those suckers that buy their crap. And I dont think a 'sneak' music ringtone for my phone or oddworld hat would do much for my image.
What I'm trying to say is merchandise is crap.

An Oddworld table top game would be sweet though. If you count that as merchandise. A few oddworld books too...

I definetly agree with the Oddworld books idea. I remember reading in the art book that Lorne had stories written down in novel fromat but didn't have the character descriptions down pat. If he could flesh the stories out it would be awesome. Wow, I think that's the first time I ever said awesome...

I think they should have remote control flying sligs! I don't know how they would do it, but it would be cool.

Slig Cake, your cynicism is understandable but misplaced. Most merchanidising is utter crap, but Oddworld always have high production values.

A remote controlled Flying Slig would be a novelty. They have RC helicopters, so the technology is there. If it had some Slig-like phrases to speak, you could really get some double-takes… interloping on a dinner party, hyeh.

Bugger , I wish I had some soul storm . mmmm mudokon bones . A slig flyer RC would be so cool , taking him out in the middle of a silent test , flying him over to the teacher , and making him say " hi " would bring me pleasure to no end.

If the had an RC flying slig, it would be be fun, but coast alot. $$$$$$
