Quest for 300 Mudokons
 

yeh i know if I had the game for 7 years i should've done it by now, but I really couldn't be stuffed n just clocked the game. I only just recently got 99 without any help, but 300...I think I'm going to need a hand. Anyway my first question is:

In the first level, am I supposed to resuce 26 or 31? I can only get 26 and then bail out abes buddies, but do they count as part of the 31 mudokons? Does this make sense?

(and just a point, I don't want any links to walkthrough sites, I want to do this by myself but when I have a question your answers will be much appreciated :))

What do you mean, the first level? In my opinion, the first level, is the entire SoulStorm Mines Co. That makes that there is 75 mudokons to save in the first level.

70 in the mines, as far as I'm avare. I'm going for the perfect outcome now, too. Currently at the 3rd hub of the Brewery, saved all Mudokons this far. So I might be able to help.

And those who are sick from brew after the 'brew-drinking' sceene: you will return to them later, when you've finished Necrum, the Mudanchee and Mudomo Vaults.

Oh, yeah, that might be 75 if you count the 5 sick ones.

If you only got 99 without help, then you missed a lot of muds. You did mean troughout the entire game yes?

Try looking around for brew bottles on the ground to find secret areas.

I think he meant he got all 99 mudokons in AO, and needs help to get the ones AE.

AE is alot easier in getting secrets locations of muds. Just look out for soulstorm brew bottles lying around. Trying not to spoil the the whole I want to play myself atmosphere

Yea, and AE as a whole is just a lot easier then AO. The puzzles are easier and the quicksave is a real awsome feature :D.

That reminds me...in playing the pc version of AE. Have you ever quicksave when you got killed? When you reload your dead.

It annoys me cause i often miss jumps and get into a lot of mishaps. Then you have to restart path.

That happened to me! I fell off a cliff and quicksaved it and I also had to restart the path!

lol oops yeh i did mean 99 in AO. I only got like 250 in AE but I was more focused on winning the game.

By first level I meant the first bit before the next movie. So do I rescue 31 or like Drippik said, I come back and rescue them anyway

You mean those 5 Mudokons who help you at the wheels to open the door to the SoulStorm vendo, right? You will return to them later, when you got the power to heal them. You can't do anything with them anyway, since they are just lying around and moaning.

But you have to rescue all available Mudokons (if you go for the Perfect Good Ending, obviously), so that's 70 when you reach the Emergency Exit and fly out into Necrum.

I could only get 280-something in AE. Those five who turn the wheels count as five muds in Tunnel two, but after that they aren't included in the count 'till you free 'em before going to FeeCo.

To think, the first time I played it I left them there, not knowing what to do with them after turning the wheels for the well.

just to give you an update, i rescued all 75 muds outta the mines before blowing it up, and those 5 drunks are still there to be rescued when i come back to them. I've just come into necrum burial grounds and resuced 3 muds in a secret area in the slig barracks.

Can anyone give me a rough estimate of how many muds are in the burial grounds?

I'm not going to be playin much until monday because of assignments and a few parties on.

There is exactly 5 in Necrum, and the other 5 are in the final part of SoulStorm Mines Co. Or do you mean including the temples? Then there are, exactly 18, not including the sick ones.
