Um... custom titles? Like my silly "Fish out of Water" phrase?
If that's what you mean, they're given out as rewards--usually for a long history of good behavior of contributive members. Or people who sleep with those of high authority. Worked for me and Hobo anyway. I wouldn't suggest it to anyone else though. :p EDIT: Again, if I interpretted what you meant correctly and you did mean CTs, then just remember that most questions like that are answered in the FAQ section. Like Ambi, I'll assume you mean custom titles. Luke made some rules about how to get them. I can't find where the posts is exactly, but I think the rules were
- Must have been here for a year - Must have a decent amount of posts, spam won't get you there though. In general, be a good member, and this December you can get a title. But you must contact Alcar, AbeBabe or SeaRex. SeaRex is the one who usually does it now, so ask him when you can. You can lose the title though if you start acting all l33t and mighty about it. Some people don't grasp the fact that they're not better than others here because of a fancy title. Dino lost his because of it. I'm sure you won't though, you seem a nice person. |
Just so everyone knows, I'm going to be a lot more strict on custom titles now. It's no fun if everybody has a title. When Abe Babe came back and saw how many titles that had been given out in her absence, I kinda realized that we really need to cut down on custom titles.
Alcar and I need to come up with new rules, or make the preexisting ones more ambiguous, one of these days. |
I may be getting confused with something else but I always thought that custom titles couldn't be taken away because the default ones wouldn't work after a custom one was installed.
There was a while when I reallywanted to get me a custom title but I'm over it now for the simple reason that I can't think of anything witty to put there. |
I'm considering a custom title, but I dunno how many people here would recognize where I got it from, as its the name of an Oxford (Or maybe Cambridge) revue from the 60's, that 2 of the Pythons did-Loitering with Intent (I like it as it's diffferent and sorta fits the way I browse the forums) . You'll only know it if you've read the Monty Python autobiography. The other reason I don't know whether to ask is because I doubt I'd be granted it, I may have been a member for only a year but I've only been able to post since June last year.
