Secret areas in SW
I love the way that OWI hid treasure to reward people who explore the world a little further. But one area has me stumped.
As you approach the Grubb temple, you climb a huge scaffolding. If you take a running jump to the right side you can get to a huge ramp that has some green-mystic-glowing-stuff on it. If you look on the left side, there is a long ledge that runs all the way to the other side of the outlaw camp. It looks like it should be accessible, but I haven't been able to work out how. Has anyone else had more luck than me? |
I know exactly what you mean. I came so close to getting up there, that Stranger's face smacked against the edge of it! It looks so easy, but it's so hard to do.
What I normally do, is get rid of all the Outlaws, except for one, then just keep trying and trying. Unfortunately, I've never made it. |
Eh, I've discovered that the 20th time I played SW.
Nah, impossible to get ter. 'less you had just another boost that would magically git you over 'ere. Even from the highest point of the scafolds, you won't make it... |
Okay, so at least it's not just me...

I mean, I didn't find all of 'em by myself. I read off some people who left feedback on the spoilers. :p But some, like in New Yolk, behind the poles of the other end of the skycart rides, were pots 'o moolah. (The green mystacle thingys you found, nate) And the cave near the waterfall, found that with help on the OW forums. Anything new you can find, I'm all ears. :) |
There was lots in the Mongo valley; on the shore opposite the paths you normally take and on top of rocks that you have to jump on to. Way too many to describe.

There's a bunch of treasure and whatnot on the way to fight Lefty, up on that hidden bolder.
There's also some in the Sleg Cave, or underneath the Mongo Waterfall. This is kinda Offtopic, but have any of you ever gotten inside the seceret store, where Flint buys his stuff? It's really cool. You have to talk to a certian Female Clakker, and she'll give ya the Password. I just recently found out that you could do this, the last time I played it through. |
shh its a secret {contains spoilers}
{spoilers}
I dont see much point in spending hours on end looking for easter eggs in stranger's wrath. But anyway its good to know where they are. The ending does not change if you dont collect enough or exactly or cheat win 1000 moolah sequence. You still end up revealing yourself as the steef and the doc ends up dead. Even if you get before the movie when you first meet doc. Searching the environment does get tedious and I personally want to get onto the next town not forgetting to empty the clakkers' pockets. Each clakker can be hit three times for moolah. Still tedious but get moolah hit one and talk and hit again so on till three times. move on. or you could hoover over a door entrance and keep Right trigger. That fun! |
I never bothered with beating up the Clakkers and smashing all the crates gets tedious to the extreme, but if you come across a treasure chest that's usually 50-odd moolah in a snap.

Oh! THAT area.
I thought you were talkin' 'bout somethin' else like under the waterfall. I know of that area...just don't bother goin' over there much 'cause you have to swim back against the current, then be dragged back to halfway near the graveyard, and sprint all the way again. ;) |
There's also a bunch on the island under where the sky-cart takes you.
|
hardly worth the 50 moolah, but after you kill the 3 outlaws standing around the moonshine still, you gotta walk up a fallen tree, jumping over branches, etc.
|
By the way: Did you guys already know, when you bring down these shining crystals at the walls (in the hidden dens with the treasures), you can pick them and get some moolah. :D
|
Yeah, in one of the caves. I think it was the one under the platform for the skycart. I only realised that second time around.
|
There are more than one cave in SW. But I don't know anymore where they exactly are... oh well.
|
But I only saw the shattering crystals in one. Did I miss them in others?
|
*shrugs* Could be. I don't know.
