Gorillaz Live at the Apollo
The live webcast just ended..It was on MSN Music. Did any of you guys catch it? If so, what did you think?
Anyone here fans of the Gorillaz? If you are, what do you like about them? I like the fact that they aren't "real". The whole animated character aspect of it interests me, as well as the themes of the art. the music is excellent as well, with the multitude of styles being represented. They go from rock-rap in Clint Eastwood to dance music on the track Dare... So, you guys down with the Gorillaz? |
I love the Gorillaz, one of the best group of musicians out there in my opinion.
Unfortunatley I wasn't able to catch word of this performance otherwise I would have tried to get a few moments of it. |
The concert was awesome...To bad you didn't catch it..It even featured Murdoc and 2D in puppet form! They opened the show, and watched from a balcony over the concert hall, occasionally antagonizing the loyal fans...
|
I you like these guys then you should check out Blur. That's The band that the British singer in the band comes from. They've been around forever and have a lot of great albums but I recommend 13 to start with. 13 is the name of the album, by the way.
|
Yeah, I've heard of Blur. I haven't heard very much of their stuff, but I really like what I have heard...
|
Gorillaz rock hard core.
I got the e-mail, but unfortunately never managed to catch any of the webcasts. They're pretty high maintenance since their haitus between now and the 90's, so I'm sure this won't be the first thing they do like this. On a side note, I hate the new wave of Gorillaz fans. I've seen enough Murdoc/2d Yaoi to make God cry. |

Why did you attach Oddworld thumbnails?

Oh that's so wrong...
I just hope they don't pair up poor little Noodle with big ol' Russel Hobbs... Damn perverted fanboys and fangirls... |
It was porbably caused from all the dumb fangirls seeing the Feel Good inc Video then replaying the part of when murdoc shakes his asscrack around. *cringes*
|
Since when are the asscracks of grimy English Satan-worshippers sexy? This I will never understand...
|
Ask my friend Lurian. She (to be blunt) wants Murdoc to penetrate her every oozing orifice.
|
Why?! That's disgusting! It's also pathetic...Can't she, like, get a boyfriend that exists in reality?
But that's beside the point...I think it's weird how a cartoon character can be that appealing to someone...But that might be a little hypocritical of me, because I've always wanted to sex Lara Croft.... |
Most chicks like her are fat gothers with no friends, so I guess in their minds they are a poised with a choice; fantasy or despair.
As to why they'd rather emphasize their twisted desires than try and turn their lives around is beyond me. |

SPANKING FOR YOU LATOR. Yeah, I'm not as much a Gorillaz fan as I used to be. Everything since Feel Good Inc. wasn't doing the same it used to when I listened to the older Gorillaz. And if our fucking radio station plays DARE one more time, Dippy's gonna have to choke a bitch. Plus, the abundant amount of crappy fan-smut pretty much killed any love I still had for them. Murdoc is not sexy! He's about as sexy as a... something that's not sexy in any way. I did an entry for them on Uncyclopedia, and called Murdoc a dog. :D ...Apparently someone had EDITED my entry. Don't worry, they won't get away with it. And they never did. |

Blur helped form Gorillaz -I heard in an interview with the leader of Blur, because Blur were criticized for being to over-rated and controversial in the 90s.
|
Oh man, Matt. You really can be funny when you put thought into it!
Viva La Penisgirl! ;) |
What is this.... thought you speak of? I've never done that in my life.
|
:
I kinda know what you mean...I mean, I still like them and everything, but there's no way DARE is equal to the genius of Sound Check (Gravity) or Tomorrow Comes Today... |
:
It's coming up... It's coming up... It's coming up... IT'S DARE! Oh hyuck hyuck. Larf. |
I liked that song the first time I heard it. I hear Feel Good Inc. alot more than Dare though.
Does anybody know where they're performing next? |
