Who would survive BY THEMSELVES???
|
I'll eat this kid. Swear to god, I'll eat him.
|
Save some for me. I haven't had Newb Ala King in ages.
*licks lips* |
I want the leg!:hungry:

Stellar job at making some useful posts, guys.
As dumb as this thread sounds, I'll add my comment. I would think the Mudokons, considering they've been surviving by themselves for centuries, and even healing those who come to them. |
What is wrong with this thread and why has everybody turned cannibal?
|
|
Gabe, you ruleypoo.
I'll have the scrotum. |
I agree this topic isn't very intresting, but that doesn't allow you people to spam that much...
|
I am surprised that most people voted for mudokons. They were inslaved and eaten for mudokons pops. I voted for Glukkons. Through any situation they are in, they would use what they can to make money of some kind. Is that independant? I would to think Mudokons are struggling to survive that is not independant.
|
And who pay the Glukkons?
|
Can I have an arm?
Fuzzles! |
:
What do mudokons eat? Cause scarb and parameite eat slurgs. |
Glukkons are incapable of performing physical labour. They rely on the Mudokons. They also rely on the Sligs to create a kind of order in the work place. They rely on Khanzumerz for their income. Left on their own in nature they'd get eaten alive. I wouldn't vote Glukkons.
I vote for Scrabs. They're the only creature on that list that are so independent that they kill each other on sight. |
They also live in packs, so they aren't the most independent, in my opinion. I think Slurgs are, because by the time some one comes to rescue them, the're already dead. And we don't know a lot about them.
|
Scrabs only live in packs in biomes that provide enough food source for them to live closely together. Their natural habitat is the desert, where they need to keep solitary territories to ensure enough food.
|
Hm, you've got a point there. But I still say Slurgs have the most independence. I guess the fued begins.

I vote for Ralph Nader. He runs one hell of an independant race.

Have some fun in your miserable life. |
This one's a no brainer. Anybody except the Glukkons and maybe the Vykekrs can survive fine by themselves. Interns and fleeches might struggle a bit, but I doubt it. Sligs could survive, Mudoons, Gabbits, Scrabs, Paramites, Meep etc. do. Slogs would probably be scavengers/pack animals.
|
go the scrabs! Seriously they are like the strongest and most athletic of all the races I reckon. I doubt any other race could survive out in the desert anyway. They don't need any of the other junkies to survive
|
Scrabs are carnivorous. They need smaller, slower inhabitants for sustenance. I voted Mudokons. On their own, they are free and happy, they can survive on plants, and will continue to increase their population size without any predators untill their close proximity allows disease to wipe them all out. The future of the human race, in other words.
|
I think we might be thinking about independence a little too pedantically. Obvious carnivorous species need to eat…
|
I suppose you're right, but then, "by themselves" isn't defined that well. The whole "circle of life" thing and all that. Food webs and stuff. If one living thing dissappears there are huge reprocussions. Imagine if they all did, bar one.

Oddworld Food web as Alex Hedley sees it; insightful for fanart to say the least...
http://www.oddworld.au.com/fans/fanart/009_alex.jpg Perhaps this will clear a few things up, BM. |
So Scrabs and Gabbits?
except he forgot the Worryfish ;) |
Yeah, but I think he drew this before MO's release and based Munch's design on the images OWI released before hand.
|
That's a good pic. The next logical step is to remove one and see how the rest fare. I think its pretty clear at this stage that the slurgs are running the show. Just as the Ratz report back to the Raisin, the Raisin reports back to the slurgs. The Oddworls Feudal system is bizzare indeed.
|
you mean fleeches report back to the Slurgs?
cause I'm not aware of any link between the raisin and slurgs |
