Larger User Names Test

Just testing whether larger user names are more appropriate. It's this way in teh default vBulletin, and personally I prefer it this way, but tell me your opinions. Does it help make it easier to recognise members? Etc?

On a secondary note, does the italised titles / custom titles fit? Should they be boldened, or un-italised?

EDIT: Only those using the Native style will be able to view the changes for now.

The titles have always been italised, well mine anyway. But I'm not sure about the usernames, it looks realy akward and it was fine the way it was IMO.

Umm... I don't really get what this is all about, but I'm fine with how it is now...

EDIT Not that it wasn't fine before if anything's changed... I pretty much dont care...It looks ok :S

Oh, that's why it showed larger user names. I thought something messed up and I put it back to how it was. I guess I should put them back seeing you're doing a test.

But IMO larger usernames look ugly as hell. I hated them from when vBulletin implimented them in the beginning.

Granted, they aren't too bad if you're using the top postbit. But if you're using the left one, they are really bad. Especially if someone has a long name. It throws the formatting of the left column out really badly [either makes the column wider if the name has no spaces or puts the name on two lines if it does have spaces] and just looks like an eyesore.

Maybe an option would be to impliment them on the top postbit only [but maybe a little smaller, as 14pt is still too big IMO, maybe 12pt] if people really like them. But I would definately say it's a no-no for the left one for reasons I already said.

Eeeek, I forgot about the Left Postbit. I'll just put it back to what it was :P

More hassles than I imagined.

Not really ... you can just have two classes specified, one for the postbit and one for the postbit_legacy. That way you can format the name in two different ways if you wished. ;)

Hmmm, yeah. I just don't want to have both postbits too different to eachother. Can be difficult to keep track of all updates (and whatever else).

Maybe I shouldn't have re-visited vb.com :p It's giving me... *gasp* IDEAS!

Yea same here. Question though, howcome the two postbits are switching sometimes? I use VB myself and but I only see the switching happening here on OWF. Sometimes when you click a link to another topic, it has the left postbit instead of the top one.

I can't explain that one, it's meant to stay the same all the time. You have set the Postbit Option in the User CP to your preference, haven't you?

Ofcourse. I guess it's just a bug then :S.
