Happy Birthday, Dear Alf Gamble!

Happy Birthday, Dear Alfred Gamble!!!

Guys, Alf's Birthday is coming up in 5 days, on the 8'th of April, and he well deserves a Birthday Thread, being one of the Biggest Oddworld Fans, and also being the one who gave us Alf The Mudokon. Plus, EVERY member deserves to have a Birthday Thread.

I know it's a little early for this Thread, but this way it will give everyone a chance to wish him a Happy Birthday, and also wish him a good life in Heaven.

Thanks Alf, and a VERY Happy Birthday to you! I hope you're doing well now, and that you've already met up with your wife in Heaven, where the two of you can be happy.

Happy Birthday to a true Fan!

Happy upcoming birthday Alf Gamble, not just one of the most devoted Oddworld fans ever, but one of the most devoted fans of ANYTHING ever. RIP Alf, hope you have a good birthday up in heaven.

Alf, I wish you a very nice birthday full of joy and fun :) I wish that all angels in heaven just sing for you this day :) I hope you can read this.
There are so many guys who liked you, Alf  Rest in peace, mate!

isn't this going a bit too far?
I mean I never saw anyone wish an happy b-day to someone who passed away.

I think its a one-time tribute to a great fan and great member of this community. He passed away earlier this year so deserves one last celebration of his life in my opinion.

Yes this all makes my heart touched. Celebrating one's b-day, while they are in a better place is special.

And guess what! When I was bored, I looked through the fourm users list of all that had joined, and he was there! He joined and didn't post!

I have to agree. He died, so there isn't much point in celebrating for someone who isn't living, and it dseems a bit selfish for it to be just for us. Those are my personal beliefs thogh. Sorry if I sounded a bit cold right there.

Alf! Legend, Devotee, and most of all, one of us.

We all feel connected to him through Oddworld, and being someone who loved the Odd, we should all remember him on what would have been his birthday. He won't get to see the next of what Oddworld has to offer, at least here on Earth, and perhaps that is one of his greater losses.

Alfred gamble loved Oddworld, and so do we. He is greatly missed.

So I guess this means I can make a 'Happy Birthday, Don Knotts!' thread next year.

I know. Seeing this thread is really making me think if some of you guys ever went outside for a while .

No offense intended ;).

I didn't know that Alf had passed away. I guess I have really been distant from the world of Oddworld [no pun intended] of recent. It kind of makes me sad to read that, as he was one of those special Oddworld fans.

I remember he did email me once when he first joined the forums as he was having problems being able to post. I guess my advice didn't really work for him. :(

I checked the forum today to see how it's going. I like the new skin, very nice. I couldn't resist saying: HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALFIE
Yeah, I know it's odd since he has passed away but then again I'm celebrating the day he was born. Anyway, I can't explain. I know Alfred is somewhere up there playing oddworld games :). Ok, that's all for now. **walks off**

I guess we should all forget about Jesus, our lord and saviour, then.

Seriously, guys, birthday thread? I mean, death thread, ok, but this makes me question your sanity.

Wil 04-07-2006 07:07 AM

We had a thread to commemorate Alf's death. The social purpose of that is to accept that he doesn't exist anymore. Remembering him is fine, and maybe his birthday is a fine opportunity to do that, but some of you people are just freaking me out. Not in a spooky way, but in a fruity way.

You being the fruitcakes.

Hobo 04-16-2006 10:54 AM

Happy birthday corpse

Munch's Master 04-16-2006 11:13 AM

Hobo? Hobo! What're you doing here, I thought you've left for good.

Sekto Springs 04-16-2006 11:17 AM

Shut up and kiss his feet, Munch!

Forgive the ignorance, my lord. *bows*

SeaRex 04-16-2006 11:31 AM

Who the fuck is Alfred Gamble?

Closed.
