Old, old Threads

Hey guys, I have been looking at old Threads for quite some time now, but never bothered to ask this question.
When you look to see who is on the Forums, you can go and check out other threads, wheather they are old or new. If you come upon an old one, they will sometimes have a white skin, with NO decoration or anything.

First off, why do they stay like this?

And second, what would happen if a current user posted in that thread? Would it change the skin of the old thread, or just stay the same?

Thanks!

A: That is the the printing verison of that thread, as far as I'm concerned. And I've seen current users post in them a long time ago. Just not now. You also can't post in them. It'll ruin the space time continume. :P

Okay, thanks.

But, why is it that current users used to be able to post in them, but we can't anymore?

Because that's a printable verison. You would entirely mess up the printing process entirely by posting in there. And users posted in there because that's the changed verison of what it was orginally.

White pages are the printing versions, often in the topic archive. Most of the realy old topics are in Necrum, and are closed for posting. So thats prolly why you can't post in them.
