Hilarity of OWF's History
 

This is such a spontaneous idea, so bear with me.

We all know OWF has a lot of history, and in that history, there's been innumerable funny moments. Since I've been here, I've ran across so many old topics that made me chuckle even if I didn't know half the members posting in it; when I've come across such topics, I've always really wanted to point it out to the whole forum, asking who remembers it and if there was any more to the story behind the hilarious thread or whatever.

So... Here we go. A thread to post threads/posts with any funny and amusing moments recent or ancient.

I don't know half the people who posted in it because it's so old, and the half that I do recognize... Well, they weren't quite as mature as they are now... making lame but cute jokes. I mean... BTW Luke, J/K! :p

Anyway, there's something about some guy trying to come back on a new account after making fun of gays but then claimnig to be gay, posting pictures of Munch giving Abe oral sex, and then something about a wet dream... A fine moment in OWF's history! :D

Ohh OWF history... thats a good one, I don't realy know.
One thing I still bear in mind was when there was almost this big riot because of some changes and Alcar was pissing people off and stuff. I dunno what happened, but it nearly got out of hand back then.

Now looking back, I also enjoy reading back the countless topics and PA's religious converting attempts. Remember how he had the anoying ability to relate every single topic with religion, SOMEHOW! He pissed so many people off with that, that was so funny :lol:

Ehh...OWF History isn't a good one.

The Oddworld Forums possess an intriguing yet odd -forgive the pun- history. You appear to have an absurd tendency of accusing obviously innocent members of having multiple accounts for the pathetic reason that they share the same IP addresses with other members. Then virtually driving them away with torches and pitchforks like the suspected members are monsters of a sort. A peculiar trend, indeed.

Yet you all remain so damn lovable. :D

One thing I always notice in those old topics is how much I absolutely hate two members' avatars: Danny's and Gluk Shmuck's.

I told you someone drew Abe and Munch doing it. The mere thought of it makes my skin crawl. Ugh...

I guess there have been some interesting moments. The only things in the "history" that stick out in my mind are the repeated disagreements with rules and other such mundane and largely irrelevant things which are then blown out of all proportion because we had nothing else to do.

I don't know how this forum survived witout me. I'm stupid. :D.
Only kiddin'. But it sound like it really was weird before my time.

Ah, well all our wierdness rubs off on our members and as there are some many n00bs of late there is little left for the forums. Meanwhile you are all going totally insane and you haven't noticed" MWAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHZAHAHAHAAHAHAHUADGSDUYFAIDG!

Nah, we're still wierd, just modern-wierd, so you don't notice it as much. Man, I miss the good ole' days. There were some good topics. OWF went through it's internet-quiz stage where about 80 threads appeared for vaious quizzes. From "What mythologic creatre are you" To "What's your pirate name" to "What swear word are you" (Never did that last one myself).

Ooh! Someone search for "The Mod song" That one was quality!

The Mod Song isn't to long ago. Last Christmast wasn't it?

Yep Dino, you've earned yourself a place in our history, if it makes you happy.

Personally, I think the forums full of so much crap we can't possibly say it all :S Funny ones usually come from the Spider Bots and Guests in the member's list, check them :)

LOL. You're kidding me, right? Please tell me no one here is ignorant enough to accuse a member who has only been here for such a short time. Please.

The complete and utter irony that you would accuse someone who only brings up the fact that OWF demonstrates such a terrible habit, as if that is proof enough that the person just HAS TO BE that individual charged with being a multi, is absolutely rediculous. I hope that no one will believe something so idiotic because I am nothing more than a member who has watched the OWF for some time before joining and therefore am already fully aware of what has gone on in its recent history.

Perhaps this is a lost cause. I've been suspected of being the dreaded Dino. Once someone accuses a new member, it's all down hill from there. The member never recovers and is forever suspected of being the multi until he is driven away by all the attacks or banned without appropriate reason. That's the wonders of the power of suggestion. It only takes one person, one post, to ruin another's membership.

Do you realise how stupid and wreckless your post was? You have absolutely no proof that I am Dino, yet you feel whatever little thoughts are running through your head are enough to ruin my ruputation, which I have been working very hard at to establish, fighting myself because of my disorder that I struggle with on a daily basis. How dare you so irresponsibly attack me. There will never be a time in my membership now that not a single person believes I am the accused member supposedly keeps coming back. What the hell are you thinking? Are you proud of your little declaration of stupidity? You're not even an admin so there's no possible way you could even have that much "proof" with knowing my IP address. I invite all the administration to check out my IP address. However, this could turn out disasterous as I may turn out to use the same one as Dino. Thus, I hope you all know much better than to let the power of suggestion overtake your reasoning and logic. Look at my posting style(s) but keep in mind my disorder, and you will definitely see that this foolish lad has wrongly suspected me. Do not let this ruin my time here, please.

I remember seeing this one topic...It was so friggin hilarious and it was related to power puff girls...But i'll let you find that out yourself :D. Anyway this place does have a good hisotry. Everytime I see an old topic that I never saw before it makes me all pretty damn curious.

It was founded sometime in 2000 (obviously).

I'm not accusing him of being Dino, I'm just addressing him by that since I know it's him. Wired, I know what it's like. There's something up and you're just dying to mention it, in a discrete way or another, which I think you sorted did in your post.
