Is the series over?
I'm new here, first of all, so, hello! Now, on to the question. Is the series over? OI has split up, so I don't know who'd carry the series on. I'd be upset if it was, since Stranger was such an anticlimatic ending.

Now, I don't believe the series is over yet.
Lorne's just focusing his abilities on movies now. If he makes a successful movie, he'll go back to the game, maybe. That's all I know. Ask Max the Mug or Xavier. They the whizzes on Oddworld and what Lorne's doin' now. |
Hey, Welcome to the Oddworld Forums! Next time you just have a short question, please post it in the Oddworld Q&A section. Thanks;)!
Well, I don't think that the Oddworld games will end anytime soon. They still have to finish the Quintology, plus any other new project that pop into mind, so you should see a ton more, after they're done making the film! EDIT: Beaten to it! |

That might be the end, or just another cliche' 'til they can really think of the hand of Odd. |
I'm always hearing about Hand of Odd.
Was it ever confirmed, or just mentioned? It hasn't been scrapped, has it? Maybe Lorne wants to expand on the universe of Oddworld more before setting to work on Hand of Odd. That way there can be a lot more to it. |
It has long since been scrapped; well before MO came out.

at the moment it's:
trying to make a movie no games until the release of the first movie |
Hand of Odd was announced as being ‘in the works’ at the same time as Munch's Oddysee was, but what wasn't announced was the gradual focus on the latter as the production process went along. Hand of Odd simply fell off the radar. I honestly think Lorne is much more commited to storytelling games. That makes me wonder about the purpose of Hand of Odd.

It's not over until the glukkon sings... I think.
