The School Thread
 

Since no-one else has created this type of thread, I did. That's right (omg). This thread can be used to discuss things about school: stories, homework help, problems at high school or college, camp related stories, how much you hate or like school and so forth.

I have to change classes every year and so does everyone else in my school, does this happen at other schools as well?

Come on, School is not that bad! You guys are either over reacting way to much, or something's wrong with you. School can be fun, sometimes.

4 months for me :p

I am getting a bit tired and bored of it. I like meeting with the people however.

School is absolute CRAP. The tests, the homework. The bullies...*Points at OWF bullies*

I also am falling behind in Maths, since I was off a lot of time, due to me being allergic to gluten & wheat. But then, we didn't know what it was.

I hate divison questions. Who's with me?

Well school's almost over in a few weeks for me. I'm not to fussed, I'll do okay on my exams.

I don't plan on going to college anyway. I'm now thinking about an apprentiship, which my dad dislikes as I'm academically bright... Or something, and he wants me to go to uni. But I think it'd be a laugh to be a plasterer or an electrician.

The only thing I like about school is that I can spend time with my friends and camp. That's about it.

I don't know what it's like in the UK but in Oz the trades are some of the best jobs to get into because not enough people are trying to become electricians and plumbers (thus they can charger ridiculous fees) but every man and his dog is studying law. The government has been spending the last few years trying to come up with half-arsed methods to convince people to return to the trades.

I dropped out of school last year. Not something I'm proud of, but in current conditions I felt it was the best thing for me to do. I don't encourage anyone to drop out of school btw. A lot of people say school sucks, ofcourse it sucks, but thats just something you will have to live with. Unless there realy realy realy is not other option given a certain situation, ALWAYS stay in school.

@ Rexy: You should do what you want to do. If you want to have a fun job instead of a well paying job, then more power to ya! Other people shouldn't decide for you what job you want to practise.

I won't mind school for the remaining three years I have. In my idea, school is just a crazy world that you need to go through, and come out as unscathed as possible.

Give examples on how it can be fun. Friends don't count. Nothing is wrong with them it is just their opinion. I happen to agree with them.

I think religion is bullshit, a coping mechanism that has long since served its purpose and I'm going to the public state college . So, howzabout givin' me that "Congrats! You graduated!" card with all the money in it?"

I finished school last year. i think I want to go to college but right now me and my band are focussing on a musical career. But i'll probably go to college this september and study music and photography.
