Abes Oddysee secret rooms
Are there visual clues in game play that indicate a secret room on a given screen? E.g. bottles of soulstorm brew in Abes Exodus

There's been heaps of threads like this. I sugest using Sinjin's guide which is pure awesomnes or look for shadowy places or where you can see rubble falling down. Also try getting behid things i.e. a barrel. If you walk and the barrel in more in the fore ground than you, try to hang down from it.
EDIT: Also, welcome to Oddworld forums! |
Welcome to the forums! I'm new myself. I can imagine there have been many many threads about this. The #1 item to find secret areas in Rupture Farms are the barrels. The best place to find hidden places at the stockyard area are shadows. Try to crouch down or roll when you see shadows. I hope this helps.

Like oddveteran93 said, barrels are important. Also anything that covers where you walk is could be a big hide out. But remember, you must always find a save point after you save one secret. It would be very hard to save like 9 mudokons in one try in AO in diferent places. ;) And Welcome! I'm sort of new.

Some secrets require you taking a leap of faith. I can remember one, which involves pulling a ring, and then running into the trapdoor it opens.
|
Really? I don't remember that one. Which one was that? Was that the enterance to one or just in one?
|
It's in Rupture Farms, near the start. You can hear the slig droping (but not splating) depending on which way he's walking when you pull the lever.
To get used to finding hidden areas, spend a few hours trying to find all 28 Muds in Rupture Farms. It takes a good lot of "where the heck are they", but allows you to see a lot of other secret areas in the other levels. |
Oh. I thought he meant something else since he said ring. I got stuck on that game for days after I beat the game with a poor ending. I could not save all 28 in one shot and I could get to the Stockyards and not know which save point was the one I failed with or not. Took me 2 and a half years to beat.
