AIM

I've just recently downloaded a new version of AIM because my old one wasn't working properly. However, this new version is ****ed. I can't directly connect or send files, along with various other problems. Does anyone know a way that I could download an older version of AIM? I tryed AIM.com and the only one they gave me was this new ****ed "Triton" version.

Thanks in advance.

Try using Trillian instead. Much better ^^.

AIM Triton is the closest AIM you can get to MSN.

Meaning : shit.

Just do what I did on the working computer: Download an older version and just use that. I could only get the older version from the 'Australian' part of the AIM website.

I have the installation file for AIM 5.9.3861 on my hard drive. I have no idea whether that's an old or new version. If you want it, just say and I can send it to you somehow.

I would absolutely love that, Nate. I believe it's the newest non-Triton version of AIM.

Okay. How do you want me to send it to you? It's 8,512kB. Can gmail handle that much these days? I could use winRAR to split the file up also, I guess.

Just PM me with details of what you want.

Triton is a piece of shit. All of the previously developed features were thrown out the window in favor of a layout with more gradient fills than a 3rd grade Powerpoint presentaiton, and few capabilities/preferences.

Note though: a very amazing place that can help you very much at the right times.

I was forced to install Triton after my original Aim started crashing constantly for no reason, and the site saved my life. Gotta <3 it. Now I'm back to the way life should be.
