THOSE LYING PHONE-TAPPING BASTARDS! TO HELL WITH THEM!
Everybody or nearly everybody knows about the US tapping phonelines right? They say they're just doing it to suspected terrorists, right? Well, I don't know anything about it making any noise to tap a phone, but last night my sister was on the phone with one of her friends when she heard what sounded like a phoneline connection sound...
So... what does anyone else think on the matter and any other related matter. |
To be honest, I haven't even read this. The thread title put me off for starters and your sig. and avatar just sealed the deal. You seem overly biased and I won't have my way with you.
Good day. - Rexy |
Oh, anti american guy thing. Hello!
Why are you mad? If you have nothing to hide why worry... hm? |
:
Look at it this way... Why would the government want to spend all this money on maximizing security on every citizen but try to say they are just trying to hold down the terrorists. Why didn't we just kill Hussein when we got him when we already had all this evidence against him and it would've been justified. I know I didn't cover everything but still... The answer is to keep us paralyzed with fear. Fear gives the government the upper hand on our citizens rights and let's them commit illegal acts against their own people... It's just my opinion but I bet that no one was even flying those 9/11 planes! I bet all of osama's videos were the government's little own hollywood flicks... The US government is the end of our world... and you can deny it all you want... we'll see... |
Do you honestly believe that the government was tapping your sisters calls? Are you really that paranoid? Someone probably just picked up the phone and then hung it up again when they realized someone was on it.
|
She checked and asked... no one said they did... and we don't run on a party line.
|
Then you had a weird connection. There are many more plausible reasons than government taps.
|
Just a glitch on the line, it's not exactly uncommon.
And as for Hussein, there are plenty of terrorists out there who don't care that he's in prison and whether he's alive or not, and even more who would go crazy if they did just kill him. THe fact that the Americans are actually giving him a trial, however pointless it is and however biased any jury might be, I think America does deserve some respect for actually doing it. THe same thing'll happen in the end but they're treating him like an equal, like a person, better than basically everyone in the Western world wants to. Unfortunately however rubbish they may be the government is actually necessary. You're just a very optimistic guy aren't you? |
:
I was being sarcastic, meaning I didn't realy want or expect an answer... |
The only reason why the government is tapping in to phones is to find the ratting people involved with terrorism.
It's not like they're tapping in to every single phone in the bloody US. They're only tapping the ones they suspect that could be planning to do some...terrorist-type thing... |
I dunno 'bout the US, but in the UK, yer calls only get tapped if a certain number of buzz words like 'bomb' 'Bin Larden' etc are mentioned, and then the call's tagged fer checkin'.
|
I'm not saying they do tap phones and whatnot but surely the phone would already need to be tapped in some form or another to listen for the buzzwords? So it'd have to be tapped before then.
|
OMG! Logic! Who woulda thunk of it?
|
Ahh here is something that I can be intrested in. Well first off all I don't think the government tapped into your sister's conversation. I don't see why a 13 year old girl (She is 13 right) would be involved in terrorism.
Secondly as much as I hate the government you gotta give them credit for trying to keep us safe. Now if they imprisoned or maybe even killed someone for the wrong reason....Then i'll be pissed. |
Yes, noone has ever been wrongly imprisoned or killed. What a strange fairy tale that would be.

Oh boy, lets throw away all our civil rights because Bush says we're "at war" WITH TERAR!!11 He had ****ing memos on his desk about Osama's planned attacks and failed to read them, tapping people's phones is ridiculous . FISA does an EXCELLENT job and there has only been one instance where they have denied a warrant, it does not take that much... he is ONLY doing it to see if he can circumvent the law and push the envelope.
If all the other crap Bush has been doing doesn't piss you off, at the very least this should. At this point I'm starting to hope the terrorists do something huge just to teach America and the government a lesson, however immoral that may be. |
You're right. Let's wish that thousands of civilians get slaughtered in the name of Allah so that we can prove a point. Why didn't I think of that first?
Dumbass. |
What can I say, lets let (tens of) thousands of civilians get slaughtered in the name of America in Iraq.
And don't say we are saving the Iraqis from Saddam's evil reign of terror, there were and still are far worse atrocities and problems in the world than his dictatorship. Perhaps I should say that I hope something terrible happens to everyone that was directly involved in starting the war and doing all this fun freedom loving phone-tapping. ...but this is getting off topic, the point is that I'm fed up with how this administration is seemingly hell bent on ruining all the things that real patriots died for during the revolutionary war and so forth. |
