How do you guys know so much?
I mean, I know quite alot about Oddworld, and quite a bit outside the games. But I have no idea where you guys get this info! :fuzconf: I had no idea what a Meech looked like untill now, I never seen a picture of a SeaRex, and I have no idea what a Meetle is. I plan on getting that Oddworld book soon so i will probbably know more, but wow you guys know so much! :fuzgrin:

Lol. A lot of people here have been with the Oddworld Universe ever since 1995. Abe Babe, the founder of this place, even got one (or more) trips to the Oddworld Inhabitants Studio and got to test play Stranger and ask Lorne some cool questions.
Next to that it's just a lot of intensive digging on the internet I guess. |
Just hang around on the forum and you'll start picking stuff up. I think it's a form of osmosis.

It's the power of a large body of intelligent, resourceful people to scan the media for interviews and articles, interpret reasonably and discuss things to nauseating detail. It always takes somebody being impressed by what we accomplish to remind me of that.

I know what I know because I got uber fascinated with Oddworld last summer and I began reviewing Alf's letters, any websites I could find, absorbing any and all information that I could get my hands on. It was actually Depths of Oddworld that lead me to the forums. And only about a week before it closed, eerie, eh?

part of a meech is shown in the 1st game. But it is obscured by the "extinct" grafitti and the "no longer available" sticker...sign...thingy.

We share our knowledge (sp?) here. If someone knows something the others don't, and he/she posts it, and the rest of the Oddworld fanbase knows. WE gather information from here and there, not all from the same place.
I'll never forget my five minutes of fame when I was the first person on the forums to find out what the plot of Strangers Wrath was. And people didn't believe me :lol:. I shared my info, then other people knew the info without having the buy the Xbox magazine. Isn't that immoral? |
