Slig outlaw 01-17-2006 03:35 PM

Sorry wish there was something i could do but i don't no either.

Cullen Heath 01-17-2006 04:14 PM

D000000D, you have to find secret areas.

You sould get an Online Guide, if you are that desperate. You shouldn't really need one, just look for falling pebbles.

metroixer 01-17-2006 04:59 PM

Wait a minute. Falling pebbles indicate there is a secret area? I thought it was that DOOODODODOOO sound. (That deep sound sounds like its being played by a broken trumpet :/)

oddveteran93 01-17-2006 05:12 PM

I tried Sinjin's online guide, one of the best there is. I still can't do it!!! **falls down and starts sobbing hysterically**

No!

That sound indicates that you have died!

Abe's Brother 01-17-2006 11:03 PM

Just google Abe's Oddysee Walkthrough. I think I got 99 once. I don't have a clue where the card is. I forget alot of things since I owned the game a few years ago. So I canot tell you what happeneds.

Havoc 01-18-2006 01:49 AM

Sinjins guide should be everything you need, you just need a lot of patience. AO can be an extremely hard game at times because it doesn't have a quikesave option and the puzzles get very very hard at times without a savescreen for miles. Just read trough the guide bit by bit, mud by mud and work the same way trough the game. Don't move on untill you have saved that one mud.
Might take some time, but will work eventualy.

No cullen not THAT one! It's this other one that...hmm....IT sounds like the death music but in a different tone. Actually isn't the death music like "DUNDUNDUN!" not "DODODODOOOO".

Abe's Brother 01-18-2006 07:15 AM

Just a High pitched ringing with a tune. It's a pretty neat Sound. I liked it the first time I played it.

Cullen Heath 01-18-2006 05:48 PM

:

"DODODODOOOO".

:lol::lol::lol:
DODODODOOOOO DEEEE DOOOO
HAPPY BIRTHADAY TOOOO YOU!
HAPPY BIIIIIRTHDAY DEAR.........

I'm sorry, I couldn't resist!
Anyway, I don't know which sound you are talking about.
When does it start playing?

metroixer 01-19-2006 06:35 AM

It starts playing right when you enter a certain screen. For example: The screen before those 2 sligs that you have to sneak past at a certain point when they are BOTH facing away from you. The screen I am talking about has a secret entrance but it also has a possesion orb in the same screen.

big bro boogie 01-19-2006 07:46 AM

That's the sound of the possesion orb. If you look closely you'll see the orb's red light flickering on and off as the sound plays.
I never saw anything indicating a secret area in AO though.

metroixer 01-19-2006 07:57 AM

No not that! It happens in screens where there are no possesion orbs also!

Cullen Heath 01-19-2006 02:50 PM

Sorry, I dont know what screen you mean.
This is Abe's Oddysee right? I'll go check.

oddveteran93 01-19-2006 03:40 PM

I look for rubble or a screen with lots of shadows. I know that secrets might also behind things. I know that in AE there beer bottles where there's secrets. I've got a soundclip from Abe's Oddysee. Not sure what it is and I forgot where I got it from. I think it might be from a FMV. If anyone'd like to hear it I'll post it as an attachment.

Cullen Heath 01-19-2006 04:00 PM

Ohh, please do as soon as you can.
I would love to hear it (Unless I have it, we'll see).

oddveteran93 01-19-2006 04:12 PM

Ah double dang! It's too big, I'll email it to you cullen heath. Erm... do you have yahoo or MSN?

EDIT: actually, to everyone who wants to hear it, go to http://www.oddworld.com/downloads/ow_audio.shtml and scroll down to Abe's Oddysee. there's heaps of sound clips.

Cullen Heath 01-19-2006 04:19 PM

Ohhh, it's from Oddworld.com?
Yeah, I have every song from Oddworld.com in my iTunes. Which one is it that you were going to show us?

oddveteran93 01-19-2006 04:31 PM

it's a lot of sounds played in the game randomly put toghether by the OW team.

Cullen Heath 01-19-2006 04:34 PM

What track number is it?

oddveteran93 01-19-2006 04:39 PM

it's called "Abe's Oddysee03" and spaking of OW music does anyone know how to get the MPEG version of Use Yur Imagination (the big one)

Cullen Heath 01-19-2006 04:51 PM

Sorry, but Abe's Oddysee #3 is not just "random stuff". It's the Soundtrack for the movie when Abe escapes RuptureFarms and gets into The Stockyard.

oddveteran93 01-20-2006 02:57 PM

Yeah I know those but they have 0 muds saved, but thanks anyway.

metroixer 01-20-2006 03:30 PM

Okay you know what? Screw it cullen. You're not gonna find out what the noise is, i'm not gonna be able to beat Animal Antics in Donkey Kong Countrey 2, and the world will never know how many licks it will take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop. :P Seriously.... I give up.

Abeguy 01-24-2006 07:28 PM

my sister found out that once, but I'm not sure if she remembers

Adder 01-26-2006 01:12 AM

I rmember finding a save on the last screen (for the PC version of AO).

Of course, since it's the PC version there is no bonus video.

I will try to find it again.

oddveteran93 01-26-2006 08:35 PM

there's no bonus video (shrink) in the PC version?!?!? noooooooooooooo...........!!!!!!!!!1

Cullen Heath 02-05-2006 09:59 AM

No, sorry.
It's only for PlayStation.

If you want me too, I could play it, record it and then Host it on to the Forums, but it might not be very good Qualitly.
