Do you think that abe is going to be in all the quint games?

In an interveiw with Lorne Lanning I heard him say that Abe was going to be in all the quintology games. Its like this Abe will be in all the games, then comes Munch and Abe will be in that game, after Munch comes Squeek, Munch and Abe will be in this game. So the next character after Squeek will have Abe, Munch, and Squeek in it. Do you get what I mean?

I don't suppose you remember where you read that interview, maybe? That's some really neat info, and it means that each character will become more and more developed as the series progresses. This = cool.

No, it dunt mean "Cool" at all. It means old. Come on, can u imagine it...it carries on that same old pattern, oh yeh..whoo-hoo. It should be more imaginative. And even if Abe doesn't star in all of them he is goin' 2 b in the last ever game. B-cos thats were he goes to the big city and has a adventure there!

Whoa, hold up a minute. Do you really think that OWI will ever run short of "imagination?"
I mean, just between AO and AE, Abe went from being a complacent janitor to a reluctant hero to a driven, zealous revolutionary. I trust Lorne and the crew to keep the characters of Abe, Munch, Squeek, etc. dynamic enough that they don't become stale.

Oddmatic is right I also heard in this interview that In the end of the quintology all the characters would team up to make a sorta weird bunch of heros and then they would team up and defeat the corperate army.
Sorry Oddmatic I don't remember where I got read the interview from but I will look for it, and I'll tell ya when I find it.

I think they are planning a dynamic story involving all five Oddworld heroes... Each character will develop a complex personality over the course of the games, which will affect and be affected by the events of the games. You will have control of character development, like in recent games like Black & White and the upcoming Project Ego. The point is, the characters will not grow stale over five games. More likely, the early characters will be the more developed, possibly the more entertaining and interesting to play.

Of course, that's just my opinion... I could be wrong. ;)

My opinion goes along the lines with Iliodd's. I think the characters will get more personality and such as the quintology continues. OWI has great creativity and imagination, so I believe the characters will become even better.

Yeah, who knows, we might forget all about Abe.

Abes lame - Munch rocks!

abe kicks arse... hes gonna be all in the games and he'll probably like this old wise mud and every looks up to em all that good stuff i bet sure why not.. it'll be kewll...........

So as the quintology progress' we will c the creatures develop and the world of Odd change according 2 wot we do on a previous game. The creature developing will probably happen BUT the world changing according 2 wot we do in a previous game will not. Thats waaaay 2 advanced even 4 the X-Box. But if they r all connected between memory cards it is possible 2 happen. Alth0 u will have 2 complete the previous game 1st in order 2 have a go at the next game.

i think abe will appear in most of the other games but he will have a smaller role like big face.

Remember that depending on OWI's and Microsoft's schedules, Squeek's series might come out on the Xbox 2 which has already started pre-production. Also remember that the Oddworld games will not end with the end of the Quintology.

Is that more powerfuller than the PS3? Wen does it come out? Will u b abl2 play X-Box gamez on it...WOWIE

Abe has to be future games because he's the original character and when you collect 300 mudos in AE it says "and don't even worry about your long lost mudokon mother yet you'll learn all about her when you Munch" so don't you think abe has to be the hero because he's got to find sam or something I could be wrong but I think Abe should be in future games and if he's not I'll hate oddworld :mad: because ABE'S my favourite character

Both the PS3 and Xbox 2 are in pre-pre-PRE-development. That is, they're being talked about but nothing else. It's probably safe to say that the PS3 will come out first, given that the PS2 did too, and that the Xbox 2 will be more powerful because of the extra time.

Of course, remember that the possibility of an Xbox 2 depends entirely on the success of the first one. We should wait 'til November to start speculating.
