Read the thread title Icarus.
Well they chopped off Abe's fourth finger to sell in the Japanese market but I don't think it really worked. I'm not an expert but I think AO only sold okay in Japan. Someone told me that MO wasn't even released there but I'll need a confirmation on that. |
The first 2 Oddworld games were'nt even relised in Japan.
They made Japaniese versions just for that very reason. "Abe 99' " and "Abe a GO-GO". |
yep Abe a Go-Go is the same as the Oddysee.
and Abe 99 is the same as the Exoddus. I'm not quite sure for the 2 xbox games |
okay i see, i picture OWI to be an american sorta thing
|
Well thanks for some of the info. I just like knowing how game series do in the jap. market cause I heard that is the most important market in the gaming industry.

wait let me get this straight.
Abe a go-go=Abe's oddysee Abe 99=Abe's Exoddus am i correct??? |
As stated earlier and supported since, yes. That's the right way around.
|
Did Abe 99 not have 300 mudokons in it?
...or did the game come out in 1999 in Japan? -oddguy |
The second one.
|
Okay...
I could see how the others were getting confused thinking Abe 99 was actually AO. -oddguy |
