Pictures Seven
I think I draw too much. Anyway. Coupla pics.
This is Roven - no, he isn't a dragon, he's a hybrid with a lot of elum and bat in him. ![]() With all the babies floating round at the moment, I thought I may as well contribute... Slate as a little peep. Bless. ;) ![]() And this isn't Oddworldly, but it was fun to draw. Best veiwed while listening to Fatboy Slim's "Weapon of Choice" as that was what I drew it to. ![]() (He's a phorusrhacos, BTW, a prehistoric now-extinct "Terror Bird". I like this little one, as well: |
:
"This is a world where birds eat horses" Anyway, pretty birdies! |
No, that was gastornis. This one is the one that lived at the same time as smilodon.
( http://www.bbc.co.uk/beasts/factfile...usrhacos.shtml ) Pretty much the same difference, though... :D [ February 09, 2002: Message edited by: Teal ] |
Great pictures Teal! And is that bird supposed to be a simile to one of your pics
Mudokon101... |
Hehe!
The first picture is great, I like the little sketch of the Mudokon on the left side of the pic. It really shows how big Roven is! Slate looks so cute as baby! What a little Moppelchen (Moppelchen = A child that is cute and small) It's a pity that Terror Birds were not like this. :D I love this one, especially the little sketches on the background! I defenetly Like :D |
(Nerf, this new style of posting is going to take some getting used to (maybe)...)
The "mudokon" is the little stick figure under Roven's chin. Ro's about 13ft tall. This one's a bit of a naff scan, and PI ate it, but you can just about see what's going on... ;) Aileena and Yaaren. (Yes, I intend colouring and re-inking it...) "Well, it's not quite what I had in mind when I suggested about getting a new look, but I guess I can work with it..." ![]() |
Great pics!
Great, GREAT pics!

no really, I love the pics and I NEEEEED to get my pics in here to show you all  I like the cute smilling bird listening to his head phones. and the big head of that....thing. I always get mad drawing a pic whan it's not working out, I understand you stress. :( |
Those are good!

I figured out why I don't like that picture of Ren (at least partly) - I forgot the long scar across his eye; he had it in all the early pictures I drew of him, but I keep forgetting it these days, which is annoying, as it gave him a bit more character... Oh well.
This is just another of those mad doodles... This is a Lamprile, an arboreal, amphibious species (a bit like a big ugly tree-frog), lives in subtropical rainforests and eats pretty much anything and everything. They are sapient, but they're pretty stupid; even if they could talk properly no-one would listen to them as they'd have nothing intelligent or interesting to say (sounds familiar). ![]() |
Ooo..tree-frog!
Pretty tree-frog! *hugs tree-frog* Verra nice! Does it secrete halucinagenics? |
lots of cool images here, nice work Teal
they are all more amasing the ones than the others, realy good job |
Very cool piccys!! Everyone seems to be master astists around here! So fun to look at these pics...
|
Nice... nice... very nice, Teal. Hi, Silversnow, hi, everybody.
*Sits down* Oh, wait, now that I look at it... I think that the first pic is my favorite. |
I'm not very happy with how this one scanned. Alector inspired me to try a doodle of my favourite earthly species; I know some of the anatomy's a bit off, but I was going for colour and texture rather than shape and form... I got it looking quite nice, and went off to scan it...
...and, predictably, the scanner ate it. The forehead and cheeks were all covered in little different coloured hairs and it actually looked furry, but the scanner mutilated it. There were about 8 different browns and oranges in here (not counting the blacks and greys I used for shading), and you can only see two or three of them... Grr. ![]() |
Although I don't have a scanner, I have had shading ruined by coloration. I've also had colors run together (which is why I sometimes prefer to use Paint). With Paint, the colors are digital, and therefore don't blend together. I'm not really much of an artist, though. (as you could see from my "self portrait")
