Old smilies?
 

Hey. I was looking through some old topics I mean like 2001 old topics. I noticed that there were some x's in people's post. Then I saw some kind of picture that someone posted from photobucket (I forgot why), and I saw a smilie I never saw on an oddicons list. Were there old smilies that were taken out? If so why?

Ahh, I remember seeing a memory concerning something similar when I was gazing into the past before. Mawk or Codek, or any others of the Dino bloodline, was angered at the horrid appearance of some new smileys that came with a vbulletin upgrade. From there, I think Alcar or someone, sorted out the smileys into the ones we have today altough I would quite like the moose smiley to reurn ;). Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I remember that after either and upgrade of after the industrial skin was introduced, the smileys looked stupid with it. One of the members then offerd to make some new ones, although I don't remember anymore who that was. Their here for quite some time now indeed.

I think it was Codek who produced the grey ones we use now.

Basically we had an old set of smilys that really changed forthree reasoms: one, because some people thought the current smilies didn't show all that they wanted them to show. 2, because basically the curent ones are better, a higher range of pictures (like :catslug: :cheer::banghead::compmad: ) which weren;t in the old set, plus some of the old ones had been given animation. 3rd, like the others said, one of the members made up a new set that the mods decided to use and further customise oddworld Forums, hence our little grey friends.

The fuzzles have been round longer than I have, no idea about the origins of those. I think I saved some of the original smilys onto my computer, i'll have to dig em up.

I've been thinking (whoa!), that I would like change of smilies, the new BV3 defualt smilies. If you don't know what I'm talking about, the ones that were used in Godlesswanderes forums, I just like those ones. I'm not saying the Grey ones are auful, I just prefer the Deafualt ones.
