Limited edition oddworld artbook?

I just looked at the topic "I got a LIMITED EDITION oddworld artbook!" and am curious if any are left. If not then I guess i'll get the original artbook for Xmas or something. :glare:

Go to http://www.ballisticpublishing.com/books/oddworld/
Click on "Order your limited edition"
All numbers below 233 are sold but there are plenty of higher ones still available.

metroixer 11-26-2005 06:19 AM

w00t! Thanks Nate! I thought they would be sold out! Yayz! perty art here I come!

Slig stopper 11-26-2005 07:19 AM

www.cgsociety.org is another of the few places that actually sell the book, but not the limited edition. Best place to buy if you live in the UK! I'll probably be getting it for christmas too!

Dark Elite_H2 11-26-2005 02:16 PM

MY GOD! 145 BLOODY DOLLARS FER THE LIMITED EDITION?! Where can I get it? I have's enough

Oddish 11-26-2005 02:49 PM

Well it is a limited Edition, so you'll expect it to be expensive, but theres other versions of the books, hard cover is best option if you can't afford Limited ones ;) It has a cool big cover.

Dark Elite_H2 11-26-2005 02:53 PM

Yeah. Is the only place to get it online? Or is it in any participatin' McDonalds? (joking) I meant bookstore?
(and cool avvy there, Oddish)

metroixer 11-26-2005 03:08 PM

Not sure about bookstores. You can check if you want but I'm getting mine online. I can wait.

Oddish 11-26-2005 03:13 PM

I don't know any bookstores which sale Oddworld Books, but that site is where most buy them from, including me.

Thanks :D

Dark Elite_H2 11-26-2005 03:19 PM

Damn...I was hopin' fer one of 'em bein' in Borders 'r somewhat of that type of bookstore. Don't really order things like that online. I know...I'm cheap like that...:p

Nate 11-26-2005 05:10 PM

Well you'd probably get it cheaper from the website because that's straight from the publisher. No big-name bookstores stock the AoOI:TFTY book but a few specialist art/design/computer stores has been known to have it. Unless you have one of those in your area, your best bet is the website.

Is there anything special in the limited edition that the other two don't have? I mean it's kinda silly to spend tens of dollars just for a funky leather cover.

Salamander 11-26-2005 05:42 PM

i really want but: its really expensive, i don't like ordering things from the net, i don't know how much shipping will be

Dark Elite_H2 11-26-2005 06:18 PM

Yeah, like I said. I'm not used ter gettin' things off'a the internet. The only thing I've ordered off online was the Mechassault 2: Lone Wolf copy. And that's it. Nothin' more. I still wish it would be in a bookstore near me...It'd be easier fer me ter get...Ah well. I'll discuss it over with me folks. See what they'll say. That's how I got me copy of MA2:LW; persuasion ;)

Sorry to be harsh about the Limited Edition, but it's true:

That's what you get for being an Oddworld newbie.

Eh? Newbie? I've known Oddworld fer quite some time. Sure, I haven't played all of Abe's Oddysee or Abe's Exxodus, but I ain't what you call a "newbie". What did you mean by that anyways?

Well, it's a limited edition - there's only a limited number of them in existence. That in itself raises the price quite a notch. The leather cover is bound by hand, so is of the utmost quality. Every book also comes with a numbered certificate signed by Mark Snoswell and someone else.

yes, theres probably some left, when you go on the official site the icon is down at the bottom, you click on it, and then you click on loimited edition. there's this list that's like,
#1-sold
#2-sold
#183-Availible
check it out

This is becoming a pattern skillya_glowi. Read the entire thread before you post anything - even if it is 10 pages long. If something has been said before it does not need to be repeated. If there is nothing for you to say DON'T POST ANYTHING!

Well, you joined after the books initial release, and this forum is the main source of Oddworld news spreadage says I.

Love the Christmas hat additions to your sig/avatar, Oddish. They look really well done, which is unusual for Christmas additions to sigs.

Oh, and yeah, topic. Limited Edition - it's great. Buy it.
Don't let the printed certificate sway you though, the signatures are disappointing.

Thanks :D I simpily painted on top, and I do think of my self as an artist. It may be unusual to this forum, but other art type forums this kind of quality you'll expect to see.

Anyway, books....
