Talker or Listener.

Most time when you meet people you will come across people who will talk the ears off a deaf man. Or you will find someone who just wants to listen to what you are saying? So what are you? A Talker or a Listener?

Fuzzle Guy 11-17-2005 10:57 PM

I am definately a talker at home and with my friends, but in school ect. I am a listener.

Joshy 11-18-2005 02:17 AM

i'm a listener.

SeaRex 11-18-2005 03:27 AM

Listener, until I start talking, because then you can't stop me.

I'm pretty introverted unless I'm around close friends, though. So most of the time, I'm a listener.

Daxter King 11-18-2005 05:03 AM

I'm definitlly a talker. I got in trouble in math class 8 times and had to be movd 5 times all in one week. Sometimes I just ramble on about random stuff.

dripik 11-18-2005 05:13 AM

Listener, mostly. I'm not very talkative, unless I have something to say...

...Yeah, so more Listener, less Talker.

Mojo 11-18-2005 09:34 AM

I, also, am a listener. Cuz I try to be there when friends need me. I don't have many problems myself, and when I do have them, I tend to keep them to myself, and not bother others with my problems.

Nate 11-18-2005 09:50 AM

Listener when I'm around new people, or not particularly comfortable with the situation. Otherwise a major talker. I've often had people remark that they're surprised at the change from quiet mouse to blabbermouth. In fact, I have made the pointless anecdote such a large part of my repertoire that I've been compared to the chick from American Pie (and I now often begin stories with "One time, on bandcamp..."

Mojo 11-18-2005 11:06 AM

Bwaha! That's funny, since I am known for random outbursts of words, and I use that line sometimes as well. For example, when someone asks: "Has anyone done anything fun lately?", and then it stays quiet, I always say "One time, at bandcamp..." and then we all have a laugh.

Random outbursts are great!

metroixer 11-18-2005 11:13 AM

Aye i'm a listener. I just don't have many things to say these days >.>.

Rincewynd 11-18-2005 11:17 AM

I prefer to listen because I rarely have anything interesting to tell people, but yes I can talk when I must (hence why I put bit of both, strange that :D)

Rex Tirano 11-19-2005 04:59 AM

I'm abit of both.

I talk alot, and I can talk about nothing for a while. [When I wa sin Belgium, me and my friend talked solidly about Bonbons for 20 minutes. :p {Long running inside joke}] I can talk.

But I listen, if someone needs to talk to me I'll shut up or I can just listen... It's weird like that.

I do a bit of both, but I'm more of a listener. I'll listen to problems and stuff and give dodgy advice, It's fun. :p

Mojo 11-19-2005 06:29 AM

I don't like to give dodgy advice. When people spill their guts to me, I tend to act seriously, and not make fun of it :P.

Rich 11-19-2005 06:36 AM

I take it seriously! :p

It's just my advice is simple, predictable and practically useless.

Rex Tirano 11-19-2005 09:35 AM

:

... simple, predictable and practically useless.

That's you summed up in 5 words. ;):p

But yeah, just because you're generally a listener doesn't mean you're doomed to give great advice.

I can't stand silence. If I'm ever with a friend (say in a car or something), I'll always be the one to say something random in order to spark some akward stilted conversation.

My my, we have a rebel without a cause.

I'm much like Nate, I'm rather quiet around new people, but people I'm acquainted with I'm quite talkative.

ANN NEELY 11-20-2005 10:49 AM

I am most definately a talker. I'm always ranting and complaining about something, or talking about what's going on between me and my friends, forums, comics, stories, games, shows, etc. I think that's why my parents started buying "Extra-Strength" aspirin.

....That's why I have imaginary friends.

That's me too. Exactly, I'd say.

I also have the ability to make the most awkward of silences and conversations, a talent I'd rather live without.

Mojo 11-20-2005 11:02 AM

Wow, that's gotta be one crazy conversation between you two then...

Nate 11-20-2005 01:23 PM

Clearly I'm just getting comfortable with my new friends in SLO as I managed to completely freak them out with stories about my family last night. (such as the time my mum was discussing the comparitive dick sizes between my father and her then boyfriend).

Oh, and I realised a few of them had foot phobias when they started retching after I put my big toe in my mouth.

The Neergian 11-20-2005 02:04 PM

Nice, Nate, lol...

Oh, btw, whats SLO stand fo?

Nate 11-20-2005 06:35 PM

San Luis Obispo. A small town halfway between LA and SF (Los Angeles and San Francisco, before you ask) that happens to have been the former hometown of OWI (Oddworld Inhabitants).

Cullen Heath 11-22-2005 08:47 PM

Mostly a listener. I like to take in info and then discuss it.

By the way do any of you hate when your in a conversation and the other person wont shut up or let you talk?
(no offense to you who jumble 24/8)

used:) 11-29-2005 11:28 AM

Pot, kettle.

Dark Elite_H2 11-29-2005 11:31 AM

I'm a very discreet person. I don't talk 'bout my feelings, nor do I talk or strike up a conversation because...I'm very shy! I know I should gte outta it, but I'm a shy person. I can't help it. So yeah...I'm a listener.

OANST 11-29-2005 12:14 PM

I'm neither a talker nor a listener. I hate conversation. Especially intelligent conversation. It's so stupid. :p

Facsimile 12-02-2005 12:47 AM

I'm a bit of both now, but I used to be just a talker.

I still lean towards that now.

Adriel 12-10-2005 01:48 PM

I'm definatly a talker. Because wherever I go I'm always the one doing most of the talking.
