A Mudokon's Story (The Story of Big Face)
 

This is FeeCo Depot. It's were all the trains come in, to take you all over Oddworld. I was a slave here... until one night, a great 'tradgedy' occured. President Aslik died of of some failure in his lungs. One of his biggest admirers , who changed his name to Aslik, was supposed to take over, but another high ranking Glukkon, named Mallack had moved into the spot. He also had an adoring fan,which he treated like we treat a son. His big fan was so evil, even for a Glukkon. His name was Mullock. He hated every living thing, and showed it. Mallack saw this and was proud of this, but once Mallack took over, he let his son as he soon called him have alot of control. "So, Mullock, what should I do today?" Mallack always asked. "Kill 'em!" was Mullock's response every time. And so Mullock would take a few sligs and tell them to beat an innocent Mudooken to death. Well, I didn't like this one bit, but I disliked it alot more when it was my turn. I heard some others talking about it and then I knew I needed to escape, so I ran for it!

I kept running and running, but soon I came to a dead end. "What the hell? Where's that slave, number 5602? He's gonna die even slower once I find him!" It was Mullock, and he was looking for me! i looked around the corner and saw the young Glukkon walking towards me. He had about 20 sligs, about 7 had bats and the other with guns. i was gonna die... but then a bird flew in. It perched next to me and as I wondered how it had got in, 2 more, than 5 more came. No windows were open, how cold they have gotten in? They started glowing, and the soon became a portal looking thing. "Jump in, brave Mudokon." an echoey voice said. "What?" I asked. "Jump into your freedom!" the voice said. "Who's saying that?" I asked. "JUST JUMP IN YA JERK!!!" the voice said. I figured it would be better then staying here, so I jumped. The next thing I knew, I was in a train. I was in the back, and was as quiet as possible because there were Glukkons sitting up front. Every Glukkon had a slig with him, and each slig had a bat. I crept into the bathroom and locked the door. The train soon stopped and a voice over the intercom said, "All aboard, SLIG BARRACKS!" This was a huge shock, because we were now at Slig Barracks, which ment that there was donna be a lotta sligs. "Hey, boss, I'm gonna go to the bathroom," a slig said. He knocked on the door. "Occupied!" I said in my best slig voice. "Well get out quick, I'm gonna crap my mechanical pants!" "Sure... I'll be out in a second!" I said. "Have you seen this Mudoken?" a voice over the intercom said. "Because if you have, YOU SHOULD SHOOT TO KILL!!! He is armed and dangerous!" the voice said. "What, I'm not armed!" I said before I could stop myself. "What the Hell?! Hey, you're the Mudoken!" the slig outside said. I had to act fast. I grabbed the sides of the toilet and pulle it up. Then there was a sort of pipe. I jumped down it and pulled the toilet back over and stepped in something wet and squishy. "I guess eventually this big pipe dumps everything out, so I'll just follow this," I said as I stepped in something really squishy. Then I heard the door get broke down and a million voices at once, "Where is he? I'll kill 'em! Are they offering a reward? Once we get him, I gotta go real bad." I kept crawling for about 2 feet when someone must have flushed and a stream of water hit me and almost made me fall down the pipe. I grabbed the bottom of the train as I remember that FeeCo. Depot trains are attached to by their top and don't ride on tracks. I was hanging about 100 feet from a moving train that was still picking up speed, and to top it off I was wet with some real dirty water that I don't even want to think about what was in it.

I held on for dear life, by every second the train went faster and soon I couldn't hold any longer. My left arm let go and right hand was slipping. Then I felt my right had let go, and I fell, fell, fell, and landed, right in a well!! I thanked Odd as I shot up onto a small walkway, where a slig was patrolling. I slipped into the shadows as he passed and then I followed him quietly. I needed to find my way out, i knew that. Then I saw a large t.v. screen that said "Wanted, Mudokon #5602, Ash." They even knew my real name, Ash! I had to get out. Then I saw that there was one of those big zap things. I never knew what they were for, until now. I saw this one malfunctioning and the slig I was following walked down a stair way and grabbed. I tryed to figure out why the Glukkons would spend so much moolah on somthing as dum as that. It wasn't a camera, I knew that because one time my mudokon pal mooned the zapper and no one even knew. Then I had a thought. i remembered my childhood, before my tribe's land was destroyed by slig forces. on that day that I was captured, a shamen was teaching me to chant. He saidthat it that chants would be very important and that if used properly, they vould save a nation. I never did learn, but now I had to try to chant, because I remembered that the Shamen told me that with chants I could turn an enemy against itself. I tryed chanting. Nothing happened. That slig was looking around like he was scared without the zapper. Then I figured it out. The zapper detects chants. I had to turn the slig against himself, whatever that means. I tryed chanting again, and nothing happened. I tryed to focus, to think about the slig... to feel te sligs emotions... to be the slig. Then, when I opened my eyes, I had a wrench in my hand and a chant zapper in front of me. "Am I..." I started but heard a differant voice. I saw a gun and picked it up... I turned around and saw a Mudokon, wait, that mudokon, was me! It was time to get to business!

Cool story, never read anyone that includes a mudokon that sees things through the eyes of the slig. Pretty 'fresh' story. Keep writing.

I kept walking and I soon found another slig. He was just standing there looking kind of tired. "Yo over here!" I yelled. The slig turned. "Oh, hi. Is it always so dull around here?" he asked. "Yeah, but I find a way to get things more exciting!" I said. "How?" the slig asked. "LIKE THIS!" I yelled as I blasted a four inch hole through the slig's head. As he fell I knew the power of these chants and now I knew that I was ready to use my enemies against themselves. I kept my slig walking until we came to an electric fence. "Wow... I wonder what would happen if I just...." I touched the electic and saw my hand leave and then I was back in my own body. I didn't feel a thing either. I started walking and then I came to the fence. I heard another slig coming and started to focus. I chanted... chanted... and caught him!!! I was a slig again and on the other side of the electric barrier. There was a machine to my right that had a sign saying please insert card here. Then I felt a small compartment in my mechanical pants and in it, there was a key card. I slipped it in and instantly the electric turned off. Then I barking. I walked foward a little and saw a slog and two sloggies running to me. "Good boy... stay boy!" I said as I walked backwards. Then the slog jumped on me! It could tell I was possessing the slig. It could smell it. I prepared my slig body for the worst and got... licks all over! The slog was licking me. The sloggies were sniffing me and thats when I saw a small bag hanging from my pants. I pulled it open and there were bones, lots of bones. I grabbed a few and gave them to the slogs. "Here boy!" I said and the big slog followed me along with the sloggies. Soon we came to a station. I gave the slogs some bones and then carried them up the ladder. We were at FeeCo. Depot, and this train was going to the new Rupture Farms that had just been announced to open. It was for workers, so when the train arrived, they wouldn't let me on. "You're a guard and guarding you will do," said the Glukkon chump that was acting as the conductor. "I'm just deliverin these slogs for more security," I said. "Well, we'll take 'em, I guess," the conductor said. "Kill 'em all!" I whispered to the slog and sloggies as I threw their bones in the train. I saw the doors close. "Hey... what the..." I heard the Glukkon say as slogs were growling. "AHHH! HELP! DOWN! DOWN! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" I heard screams as the train took off. "Hahaha!" I laughed. Then I figured my work was done with this slig. But I needed to get rid of the slig, but how? I wish he would just explode I thought. Then "AAAAHHHH! I'M GONNA BLOW!" and I was back in my own body where the electric fence used to be. I walked forward and noticed the sligs card and picked it up, thinking it might be useful later. Now I had to figure out a way out of FeeCo. Depot.

Interesting story, Shrykullmaster, though it reminds me the Abe's story a lot. I always like when fan-fic writers include "official" oddworld characters in their stories, it is not an easy thing to do. I wonder why it is called "The story of Big Face", and when he will show up (unless he has already appeared and his real name is Ash). :)

"Hello? Birds?" I yelled as I looked for the birds on the station. "Oooh, ahh!" I heard. I started to follow the sound and saw a Mudoken being beaten by a slig. "Bosses oreders! All Mudokens die until 5602 is found and dead!" the sig yelled. I started chanting and possessed the slig. I looked to make sure no one else was around and then blew the slig up. I walked over to the badly bruised mudokon. "Are you okay?" i asked. "Am I okay?" the mudokokn asked. "Am i okay? I just got the hell beat outta me and it was your fault!" "What? My fault?" I asked. "YEAH! If you didn't run away, I wouldn't have been beat up! And you know..." he stopped once he heard a bird chirping. I looked in the direction of the sound and saw a ring of birds. I started to chant and the mudokon ran into the portal. "Hey!" I said. "Don't worry he'll be okay.... we dumped him into a forest where we have some tame paramites," voice said. "Para-whats?" I asked. "Jump in and find out," said the voice. I jumped in, figuring a forest would be better then this place and felt the dampness on my face. I walked forward when I heard a rustl in the bush. I heard another on my other side. I picked up a rock and threw it into one of the bushes. A shriek came out and something with tentacle looking things and four legs stepped out and snorted. I stepped back and hit another one. This one was a little smaller and made a snort as well. "Please be tame paramites!" I said as they walked forward. Then the smaller one jumped and I closed my eyes, fearing the impact. I kept them closed for a minute and I heard a lot of snorts, but I wasn't attacked. I opened my eyes and saw a creature like the others, but this had a scar on it's side. It walked and looked back after about ten steps. It seemed like it wanted me to follow it. I thought about it, thought it might lead me into a trap, but waiting here wasn't gonna help much either, plus this creature had already got rid of the others like it. I followed it but always felt like I was being watched. Every time I glanced back, nothing was there but maybe a bug on a weird flower. As I walked, the creature kept looking back as well. Soon we came to a thick forest. The creature leading me let out a loud scream and before I knew what was happening, I was lifted off the ground and into the trees!

hmm either no ones looked at this or no one felt lik posting... o well, ive been on vacation so ill start writin now

I was thrown into a web that I couldn't escape. The web was in between two sticks. The odd creature grabbed the sticks and dragged me through the trees as i looked back, i saw two other creatures following me, they were the ones that had dragged me up. Soon the creature jumped out of the tree and walked towards a giant camp fire. Then I saw birds appear and a large light blinded me for a second as a mudoken stepped towards me. He was wearing a huge red and white mask. "Hello... Ash" he said. "You know my name!" I said. "Of course I do... I know everyones name... I have managed to tame these paramites," he pointed to the creatures that had brought me here. "They can help you in your quest..." "What quest?" I asked. "You will free mudokons... you will bring them here... i have seen how powerful your possession powers are..." "Why don't you free them?" I asked. "I am old, sick, and will soon die. But before that, I will give you some powers..." he said and before I knew what happened, I was being zapped all over my body. "AAAAAHHHH! THIS REALLY HURTS!!!!" I yelled as the zaps stopped. "Now you have the power to transport others and yourself," he said. "Yeah... but..." "Wait! I have forgotten something important. You can't just storm into FeeCo. Depot with some paramites and expect to shut it down!" "SHUT DOWN FEE CO. DEPOT?!" I yelled. "You'll need a scrab army. I've trained a few scrabs already," he said, ignoring me. "WOW! What are scrabs?" I asked. "You'l know them when you see them," he said. Then he started chanting. "Wait, I never agreed! I... I..." but it was too late, I was already in scrab territory.

I looked around and all I saw was my paramites and some plants. Then I saw these little brown things hopping. They were very fuzzy. As they hopped from the bushes, they started squeeking and some others came out. Then a huge, orange, four legged monster with a sort of beak popped out of the bushes. "I hope that's a scrab and I hope it's tame!" I said. My paramites looked on. Then the little fuzzy things started growling and they revealed their huge teeth. The attacked the orange monster and killed him. "Wow! How'd they do that?" I asked myself. The brown fuzzy things hopped over to me. "AHHHHH! Go away!" I scramed. They squeeked and my paramites snorted at them. "They seem freindly..." I said. One jumped on my shoulder. It squeeked but I couldn't udersatnd it. Then I heard more trampling footsteps and three orange mosters jumped out of the bushes. "Can you kill three?" I asked the furry animal. It shook it's head and the other furry things jumped on paramite's backs and we all started to run. We jumped logs and stuff but soon one paramite with three fuzzy things on it fell behind. I heard snorts and screeches but then heard one last squeek and heard the three monsters following us again. Then I came out of the bushes and saw another orange monster in front of me. It screeched and ran at me at full force!

I closed my eyes and heard shrieks. I turned around and I saw the yellow mosters twirling arond each other. They were fighting! I figured that the two that were fighting may have been males, and the others were females. I took advantage of the fight and ran away. When I looked back, I saw one monster impale the othr with his beak and the females ran and started to eat the dead one. I kept running into the night. Soon I started hearing all differant sorts of noises. My paramites climbed up a tree and made webs. Then two came and picked me up. They put me in a web. It wasn't very sticky, so I got up and eventually got some leaves to use as a blanket. I counted my paramites now that we were out of danger. I had five paramites and six fuzzy things. I went to sleep easily and when I awoke, I was very hungry. "We've gotta get something to eat," I said. Then I noticed that the paramites had brought me sharp rocks and long, strong sticks. "Could you make some very sticky web?" I asked a paramite. It looked at me like I spoke anoter language, which I did to the paramite. "That other mudokon said my chant powers were strong... I wonder how strong," I said. I started chanting. This seemed to upset the paramites as they started to shriek at me. I didn't stop. I kept schanting. Then I was in the body of a paramite. "Can you make some really sticky web?" I said but it sounded like this: "SSSHHHRIIIEEEKKKK!" The paramites seemed to understand and they shot out webs. I depossessed the paramite by just thinking aout being in my own body. Then I grabbed the stick and the sharp rock and had the fuzzy things hold it in place. Then I took some web. I tyed the two together and I had a spear. As I crept down the tree, I heard running feet coming towards me. Then another monster like before jumped at me. I threw my spear and hoped it would hit the monster!

The spear flew and it hit the moster on the side of the head. It screamed and the spear got stuck, but that only momentarily slowed the animal down. It kept chasing me and gaining speed when it jumped! I ducked down and it landed in front of me. It quickly turned around and prepared to spear me when my paramites jumped down from the trees and began to attack the creature. The fuzzy creatures bit it's legs and soon the monster fell and became an easy target for the paramites. After they finished it, I grabbed my spear and we began to walk. After a while, we came to a small campfire. There were two circles of rocks, one in the other, behind the fire. There were several small houses made out of mud bricks. A few mudokons came out of the small houses with some monsters. "Here's four tame scrabs," A mudokon said to me as he handed over the leashes of the scrabs. "Oh, I see youv'e also met the fuzzles," the mudokon said, pointing to the small fuzzy things. Then e heard rustling in the bushes and a ton of little worm things came out. "FLEECHES!" the mudokon yelled. Many mudokons exited their homes to see what was happening. "Don't worry, I'll just release my scrabs!" I said. "NO!" shouted the mudokon, who pulled me aside. "Look," he said. Then a wild scrab popped out of the bushes covered by fleeches. He managed to kill a few on the ground, but the fleeches shot their tongues out and I saw they had two mouths! Then, a million tounges grabbed the scrab at once, and ripped it apart! "AAAHHHH! What are we gonna do?!" I asked the mudokon. "Go to the stones!" he yelled and I brought my four scrabs, six fuzzles, and five paramites over to the rocks. "CHANT!" the mudokon shouted as the fleeches approached. "NOW! DO IT!" he yelled. Then the fleeches got him. They hit him with their tounges, and one big greedy one pulled the mudokon into his mouth. I started chanting. Nothing stopped me. Nothing distracted me. Not even the hard tounges of the fleeches. I kept chanting, and next thing I knew, I was inside a cage!

"How did I get in here?" "don't worry, this always what we do during a fleech attack," a mudokon said. "We are transported to a cage of hard branches that fleeches would have to whip at with their tounges for years to get in." the mudokon said. "Well, it's good that these branches are strong and all, but what if a scrab slams into them?" I asked. "I truly never thought of that," the mudokon said. "Oh, great! Hey, where are my pets?" I asked. "Their in their own cages," the mudokon said. You see when you cahnt at a circle of rocks like the one in the village, it takes you to another set of rocks. Look at your feet," he said. I looked down and saw another set of rocks like I saw in the village. "Ya see those rocks will transport you to another place, probably the village," another mudokon said. "I'm gettin' hungry, say, do you want a poece of this meat?" the mudokon asked me. "Um, sure," I said and took a big piece of meat. that's when I noticed I was starving. The meat was so good I needed more. The others looked at me. "You know, it's kinda raw," they said to me. "It's the best thing I ever had... way better then anything in Fee Co. Depot." "Well, here have some spooce. It'll help your chants. It's in this sack," the mudokon handed me a sack. The spooce was even better then the meat. Soon I was so full, I layed down and went to sleep. As I slept, I kicked some left over meat out of my cage. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" I heard as I woke up.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH," I heard. I looked at the other cages and saw scrabs breaking into them. The mudokon with the meat had just got impaled by the scrabs beak. Then a scrab began running towards me. I started to chant and then I was back in the village, with all the fleeches! "Crap!" I said and I began to chant again. I was back in my cage with the scrab charging at me. "AAAAAHHHHH!" I yelled. "I gotta get out of the circle!" But it was too late. I closed my eyes as the scrab was gonna slam into me, but then.... I was somewhere else. I was in a jungle. I stood there confused and looked for the stone circles. I didn't find any. "So that means I teleported myself!" I said. "Yup, and unless you go back, the whole mudokon village will be destroyed!" a voice said. I turned around and saw the mudokon with the mask. "Remember your powers I gave you?" he asked. "Yeah, is that how I got here?" I asked. "Yes," he said, and started to chant. Soon I found myself on the top of a tree overlooking where the mudokon's cages were. I saw the scrabs attack the cages. I saw my pets. Then I queitly crept down the tree. I grabbed a rock and threw it at a scrab. "RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRR!!!" it went. The other scrabs all started to yell and they chased after me! I kept running until I tripped over a branch. I looked up and saw the scrabs coming, closer, closer, closer. Then one stepped on me and I knew I was a goner.
