New oddworld game!
I made a simple little oddworld game. You can download ithere
Tell me what you think. This took me about a week to do. Marvel at my amazing ability to use microsoft paint to create images ;) ...lol Anyone who wants to can use it for your website. ron-rancor i am so siked of this downloadable game!it is awesome!u put alot of effort in to this game...and made it a great one...u know what i think,i think u could make money by saving the game on a floppy...hey just think of all the $$$$$ u can make! :D :D

Do you have a program that unzips files (like winzip)? If so then open it up in that program and unzip it to a file. Then open up the odd.exe file and it should work.

Sligface: Files put on the internet for people to download are often "zipped" - this basically means put into a "package" so that they take up less space, and you can put more than one file into the package so your audience doesn't have to separately download each file (which usually takes a lot of time). To look at the files, you have to "unzip" them - there's quite a few programmes that you can download to do it with, Winzip being the most popular, I think. I think you can only get a 30 day trial free, though, and after that you have to pay for it (unless you're on a Uni server, which means you can use 30-day trial software indefinitely as settings are reset to standard every time a computer gets turned off (a pain when you have to reinstall IM, but convenient otherwise... ;) )...
(As an aside, can anyone post a screenshot or two? Even if I can't play it (my home computer isn't net-enabled, and I can't take it home as it won't fit on the disk I have) I'd at least like to see what it looks like... [ February 07, 2002: Message edited by: Teal ] |
Yeah, okay. I'll send it to ya next time I meet you online. The game is simple, but it's pretty cool. :) I only got up to level 2, but then I had to stop because I had stuff to do (hey, that rymes. :)).
As for Winzip, you can use the shareware version as much as you want. All that happens is you don't get all the features, just the main ones, and you get a little "Please Register" notice every time you start the program. It's no bigge. - DH |
