whats going on?
 
so im a bit confused. What exactly is going on with OWI are they going to still make games? is habd of odd coming out? im so confused and i dont want oddworld to end :(

OWI are still going to make games as well as movies. The only thing is that OWI is only going to come up with the concepts and ideas, and then liscence those to external developers to make. It'll be all of the creativity, but the technological realisation will be handed by different animators and programmers.

Hand of Odd is a shelved title. It's no more likely to be released than the Ballad of Fangus or SligStorm - they're all ideas that aren't being made into games right now. We'll just have to wait and see, and I think we're going to have to realise that's likely a long wait.

Perhaps we should create a sticky "What the hell is going on at OWI?" thread so we can just link to that every time someone new turns up/returns.
