It is 20th Century small town America. From Italy, the Mafia have fled the armed forces of their government to set up shop in the land of dreams. Their work is quickly underway, deciding to begin infiltrating and taking over a small American town in the North-East, before they hit New York. However, the townsfolk do not take kindly to this criminal organisation, and will do everything they can to prevent them taking their town.
Unfortunately for the townsfolk, the Mafia has set their roots deep in the town, and nobody aside from their assossiates know Mafiaman from innocent Townie.
There's investigating to be done!

Yes Splat, advertising is the key to success here! PM me for advertising of a topic of your choice. But seriously, is it currently day activity or night activity? And yep, I understand my role.

I got it, but I have a couple questions.

First of all, how do we know when it's night? Some of us are in different timezones so we can't just look out the window.

Secondly, where do I discuss things with other players? Over PM? If so, do you think it would be a good idea to require that we start all PMs relating to the mafia game with the word MAFIA: in the title (in capitals, followed by a semicolon and then the title of the PM) so that we may be able to differentiate the PMs more easily (thus saving some potential confusion)?

I doubt anyone is recieving enough PMs to make it a hastle. Unless their a conspiritor...*shifty eyes*

Dino: Night is gametime, and not based on real life at all. I will post when it is night, as well as making it clear in the title post. Night lasts around 24-72 hours (depending on how I think activity is), though will end as soon as all Night Actioners have given me the actions.
Discussion with other players can be made in any way - PMs, IMs, whichever you please. During these exchanges, do not give any information about your game character unless you are Mafia, and are speaking to another person within the Mafia team. Non-Mafia don't really need to discuss outside the thread. I can't stop it, but it's discouraged.
Neither Night nor Day (nor the game) starts until we have 100% confirmation.
I do think it would be a good idea to put MAFIA: at the beginning of exchanges.
When PMing me with Night Actions (if you have them), it'd be best to simply reply to my starting PM.

I'm conversing over PM with bizkit to make sure he has got his role.
I've received no word of Cyber-Slig, and if, by the time Bizkit confirms, he has not shown up, I will PM Splat to see if he wants to take over the role.

There's no rush to get started, as long as players aren't planning on leaving the forum anytime very soon.

I should be able to get online at least once a day so yeah. I've played a game like this, only it wasn't via a forum, it was a chatroom thing. (that doesn't mean I'm any good at this, but here goes nothin)

After a few days, Night will end if the actions have not all been sent in.
