Anyone think it'll ever be made??

Maybe, maybe not

We don't know at all since OWI isn't developping their games themselves anymore.

They could have find a partner who's intrested and who'll do it. But that's pure speculation at this point.

Conidering that they're outsourcing jobs to other companies, a movie and a game being released simultaneously may not be such a radical idea. I'm sure Lorne and Sherry could manage both projects without things becoming too hectic. Now, I'm not saying that the next game would be Hand of Odd, but if they're still thinking about games, we might see it in the future.

Oh, they're not making games anymore? I know Lorne said they were going in a different direction and experimenting with different media..but I didn't know they were stopping video games altogether...while a movie would be great, I still can't see the end of Oddworld without them actually completing the quintology! woe is me!

There will still be some Oddworld Games, don't you worry.
Simply OWI won't develop them themself

So how hte hell can they possibly be good?? Who could possibly produce Oddworld games other than OWI!?

With OWI's creative concepts and Lorne Lanning's keen eye for high production standards and control freakism, I'm positive external developed Oddworld games will live up to the existing titles.

It will be exactly the same as when they develop it on there own, only now they hire those men and women. On the other hand, they will concentrate less on the game production itself, programming etc. They only check if it works as they want to have to. And in the mean time, they can do other things, like making a movie or something.

As I see this now, I only think this is a smart move they made. Let others do the "dirty" work, en concentrate yourself on more stuff that needs to come.

As I've pointed out elsewhere, this is the same system used by American McGee to produce Bad Day LA and he seems to think that it worked out well.

wasnt hand of odd supposed to be an online game were you can have up to 4 people playing and you see who knows the most about oddworld?thats what i heard.

Female. Sydney started the Forums wayges ago as the Oddworldian Forums. I remember that one of the first topics was a complaint that Fuzzles look like McDonald's toys, and I've maintained since then the sentiment that they could have been designed better, like hard-shelled sea urchins with rabbit ears.

Xav has such a high post count because of all the shameless self-promotion he writes for his sites. ;)

Xav was democratically elected as the moderator of General Discussion. He was actually given power by Alcar, the Global Moderator of Oddworld Forums who does all the technical bits. Feel free to pester him. :D

ive been asking alot of questions, sorry i didnt notice im just new to this and im curious to how you guys work this whole thing

It's no problem, cullen. Back when I was a mod, you'd get sent to Forum Suggestions & Help to ask questions about OWF, but since General Discussion has been so dead lately, I don't see that it's a problem.

yeah it has been pretty dead, I used to(when I wasnt a member yet)read all of your guys' comments that you would say to each other(most of em were really funny too)and now hardly anyones ever on.

actually as Max said since this place isn't as active as it used to be I tollerate more.
simply I'll get back to strict rules if something intrestings happen in the world of ODD.

If alcar had the power to put you in a high rank is he an even higher one.
