Stranger's Operation

What kind of operation did Stranger need? I've played through the whole game and I still don't know. Is there something I missed, or does the game just leave it as a cliffhanger?

Stranger wanted to get his hind legs removed, so he wouldn't be hunted. I think he also wanted to extend his front legs, but I can't remember properly.

He wanted the doctor to merge his hind legs with his front legs, so instead of four legs he'd have two, and a "normal-shaped" torso instead of the torso of a steef.

Basically he wanted it to be done so he could "blend in" and not be shot.

Really? I thought he wanted his hind legs gone.
But yeah. Any other way, he wanted to blend in with others and get rid of his hind legs.

GrubbGuardian 08-10-2005 10:26 AM

Yeah, I guess I wasn't paying enough attention. For that part, you pretty much have to read between the lines.

Yeah, when you get captured by D. Caste Raider, and when he takes the operation bill from Stranger, you can see that he wanted the hind legs removed. Then, suspicion rolls in when D. Caste Raider says, "Get them pants off!" Then you know what'll come of next. That part got me when I first played. :D

I see that now that I look at the cutscene again, I guess I just wasn't paying enough attention the first [couple] times.

I was about to laugh when D. Caste Raider said "Get them pants off!" Its a good thing Stranger was wearing something under his shirt and pants. But Gawd. He's wearing over-alls, (i think thats what those are called...or suspenders) over that, a green shirt, heavy looking pants, a very large pancho, A huge hat, and even huger boots. And not only that but FUR to boot! I'm surprised Stranger didn't keel over from heat stroke or heart attack! I mean when the game had its old western feel it sure wasn't snowing. It was most likely hot weather.

I thought the outlaw snapped from something when he said "get them pants off!" I was really getting freaked out...

Oddkid 09-21-2005 06:29 PM

Snapped from something? What do you mean by that?

You are right on that point Stranger should have been dying from the heat.
On an other hand he may have a cooling system in his body :p
*ahum...

Oddkid 09-22-2005 05:02 AM

Have there been any theories about that?

Dark Elite_H2 09-22-2005 11:25 AM

Nope. In fact, I don't think Lorne didn't think 'bout all the crap Stranger has on, and the intense Western-like heat he was in. But, hey. I ain't a psychic. He may of known the whole time. Just wanted us to ponder it out fer a while. But there hasn't been any theories on that.

Oddkid 09-23-2005 05:15 PM

My genius theory is.....Maybe Stranger just ignores the heat...and kept water bottles underneath his hat...

Dark Elite_H2 09-24-2005 06:07 AM

   Nice theory there, Odd. I bet he does keep his water bottles under his hat! :D

...kept water bottles underneath his hat...

I got it! :D Those darty things on his hat, weren't actually darty things, they were weeny water bottles! :D

...Okay, that was a daft idea...but, c'mon, it was amusin' right?...Right!?

Oddkid 09-24-2005 06:58 AM

Maybe if they were special water bottles that lasted for a long time with no reasonable explanation on how....but my guess is those were just darts.

Dark Elite_H2 09-24-2005 07:15 AM

 You both make me laugh!
I don't think those darts are tiny waterbottles, they're just...darts. he doesn't use 'em, but they're just...darts.
