Next Gen Consoles
What next gen console will you buy? If so, why?
I'll most definatley be purchasing an Xbox 360, solely for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. But by the looks of it, Ps3 will pwn X360's ass. And the Revoloution, if anything, it'll be 'cult' hit. But it has old Super Nes/ Nes back log, so I might llook into buying it... |

The Revoloution is a big 'mabye' for me, and a lot of other people I would assume... |

All Killzone 2 offers me is good graphics. Killzone 1 sucked balls. :p
Anyway, I'm not exactly in the extreme monetary flow catergory, so I'll only buy a console with justified reason... |
I'll be getting an Xbox 360. It looks to have some groovy games already (TES 4, Gears of War, Dark Sector), and I don't quite have the cash for the PS3. And I know next to nothing about the Revolution.
But I don't think it's fair to compare the consoles till we know everything we've seen is indeed gameplay stuff. Because the PS3 was lookin' good, but the developer said the Killzone 2 (i.e. most graphically impressive) stiff was just a video, not actual gameplay. So I'm not gonna make a decision about which is "better" until they're both out. |
I want an Xbox360, but I want a regualr Xbox now, so the prices will go down tremendously when it comes out. I just have to play the waiting game. But does the 360 play all of the games on Xbox regualar?
|
I'll be getting the PS3. So I can play my PS1 and PS2 games.
|
I'm undecided really, I'm really an Xbox follower so my gut's telling me to get the Xbox360. But I've seen videos and whatnot from PS3 and the graphics are gonna kick the Xbox360's arse!
The Xbox360 has shed loads of features which will contribute to the gaming but the Ps3 has the graphical power to rule the console world. I just don't know!!! |
I havn't decided yet, whatever oddworld have planned on which console to work on. PS3 looks good though, and I don't have a PS2.
|
:
I'm more inclined to buy the Xbox360, but only because we haven't seen any real games from the PS3 and Revolution. Plus, Gears of War and Oblivion look simply marvelous. |
why is there no option for "all"?
>.< |
:
Then again, I'm becoming more skeptical of the PS3's E3 showing as of late... I mean, wouldn't it be awesome if the Killzone demo was actual gameplay? It just doesn't seem like it's going to turn out like that, though. Could be wrong. You never know. Regardless, I'll be buying the XB360 for spiffy new Xbox Live stuff and Elder Scrolls. |
:
It seems like most of us are wanting Oblivion. If it was live my ALGONERAN would pwn yo asses. |
I might get the Revolution. I hear there's a new Zelda game coming out for it and its graphics are astounding. Gamecube graphics are good enough anyway.
|
:
|
Oh, probably. All I know is that it won't be all cartoony like Wind Waker, it will have realistic graphics.
|

|
:D The thing that drew most peoples attention wasn't real time. I laugh at Sony.
Is it just me, or did Munchs Oddysee convert us all to Xbox? Before we were all like: 'But I bought a PS2! Me want ODDWORD!'. But now to Ecks Bocks. :/ |

Xenon/Xbox 360. It'll have better online service and Halo 3 and other games we know'll be on it as well.
[Edit] Huh....Looks like Nintendo Revolution is a piece of crap console. Is it? :fuzconf:  :crafty: |
X-box 360 sounds awesome, But so does the PS3,But i like The X-box better.
|
Xbox 360 Rulaz:p
I just somehow hate Sony and Nitendo. So im going for the 360 box;) |

Nintendo is becoming the next Sega, they'll probably stop making consoles after this and focus on games for other systems
|
Nintendo used to be so big. Now you can buy a gamecube on Amazon for like $50! It's sad because I'm a fan of Nintendo. Half of their games are pretty bad though.
|
Nintendo needed to grow up and they didn't. Little kids don't have the hundreds of dollars needed to buy consoles, so you have to aim higher, that was their mistake.
And I don't know what next gen console I'm going to buy. I don't really know enough about them yet. It'll most likely not be Revolution though. |
:
See how nintendo started to teach little kids to type and find and count and learn about your history. |
You shouldn't think it's just a kiddy corperation. Nintendo first started out as a playing card company in the 1890's in Japan. It grew and grew from manufactuing little electronic toys to high tech game systems.
|
Haha! Rich is only on this arguement. :D
