TheRaisin 07-06-2005 07:29 AM

Is that where the Olympics are going to be held or something? Jeez, Wolfpac, care to explain your post a bit?

Esus 07-06-2005 07:53 AM

He probably didn't think it was necessary because it's been given an insane amount of news coverage (at least in the UK).
Yes, it will be held in London.
It was announced live on radio and tv, and everyone cheered.

Oddish 07-06-2005 07:59 AM

Ye-haw!

That is good news if you live in the UK.

T-nex 07-06-2005 08:08 AM

I never heard these news... Would anyone explain them?? I don't follow the news very much...

Oddish 07-06-2005 08:28 AM

I'm pleased its in London, but I live in the north of England so I'd have to get a hotel down there, and it'd be a long drive. But as it's 7 years off, I hardly think these are immediate problems.

Fuzzle Guy 07-06-2005 09:14 AM

I don't really think he needed to be explained batter, It was one of the biggest things today in Britain. I'll go and see it.

*Slaps* Shut up, or I'll track you down and move in with you. ;)

I doubt Chirac won any approval by slagging off us Brits, hardly very multi-cultural minded, was he? Whereas Britain is easily one of the most multi-cultural places on Earth.
I think Blair may have been rubbing it in a bit much when he delivered his celebration and thankyou message in french. :D

I don't give a chimp's chump, but if the Olympic committee wants to surround themselves with sports hooligans, they certainly made the right decision.

Someone who isn't a politician please tell me why this is such an interesting success for our fair country.

Esus 07-06-2005 10:13 AM

Because we beat the French.

EXACTLY! And their arse of a president and his idiotic comments about Britain.

Also, this will be great for Stratford and the East-End. Regeneration will do them a lot of good. All I can say is that I'll definitely be going there. For once, the Olympics will only be half an hour away :).
