((Questions))

Hello evreybody of the Zug Two Roleplaying Section. I am the newest member and Oddwold Forums member, Doublehex. Now, I wish to either join one of these roleplays(all look good) or convince T-nex (or whatever his name is) to give a RP creating license. First of all, however, I know almost nothing of the Oddworld races, or the Oddworld history for that matter! So, is someone capable of pushing me in the right direction?

Welcome, Doublehex!

Well, if you want to know more about Oddworld races and the lot, I would recommend www.oddworld.com, or even better, the Oddworld games themselves. If you know how's it going between the races and all, you will do fine. First, you better just join in an RPG, then you'll have experience and you can create one.

Have a good time at Oddworld Forums.

Hiya DoubleHex! Welcome to teh Oddworld forums.

Very good idea at askin' admins. to see if yeh's can make a RP. Wouldn't want to get's them mad. 'Specially T-Nex. She gets real mean. Have fun 'ere at Oddworld!

Oh, and btw, love yer banners, Hex and Dripik. :)

Hi there Doublehex! Well, for info on Oddworld, I'd recommend playing the games, speaking to Max the Mug (If hes still around), going to oddwrold.com and go to the Oddworld Universe section, or to search the archives under general Oddworld discussion and check in any topics with character/creature titles etc.

For RP's, you have to RP for I forget how many months to get the RPG creating licence, and to learn the rules on RP'ing just read T-Nex's "Detailed RPG rules" topic then sign up at one. Have fun here! :D

I have just one more question: do I have to follow these rules in the quote?

:

When you post, this is the most used way to do it: When character does

something, type:
*text*

When character says something, type:
Character: “text”

When character thinks, type:
Character’s thoughts: “text”
Example:

Mick’s thoughts: “Oh man, I’m tired” *drinks brew*
*another slig steps inside.*
Slig: “What do you think you’re doing?”
Because I absolutley HATE this style of roleplaying. It feels more like a script for a movie! I do a novel-style of rp.

Dark Elite_H2 06-23-2005 11:45 AM

I don't...necessarily do 'dat...but if it's in the rules, I guess yah do. Really, yeh don't wanna get's the admins. upset. I dunno what 'dey do, but they may get mean.

T-nex 06-23-2005 12:54 PM

No.. i did put in the rules that you can write in past tense too or whatever... you know like a book.

*checks rules to see if she left something out*

Nah as T-Nex said, you can do past tense stuff, that's the way I RP naturally, i find it easier.

Doublehex 06-23-2005 02:16 PM

Ah, well now I can stop sweating bullets now about having to tottaly change how I RP. :D

T-nex 06-24-2005 10:15 AM

lol... Well, i did not say in the rules that u had to RP like that. I said that it was the mmostly used way... at least on this forum...

Havoc 06-24-2005 12:57 PM

Yea, basicly, as long as it's overviewable, it's fine :).
