Stealin' the Idol

I've heard that if you steal the Grubb idol, they say something funny but I seem to have missed that. What do they say?

I vaguely remember someone saying something about the Grubb leader making some snide comment also. If that's correct, what was it?

In fact, does it make any difference at all to Stranger's relationship with the grubbs if he steals it or not?

No difference in relation.

The funniest thing I heard the Grubbs say after yoou steal the idol was, "Just cuz we look like dicks doesn't mean you can yank us around!"

In the village later on, they say the same thing if you hurt one of them (or if you break one of those ammo crates near them). They also call you a jerk if you steal the idol, but I'm not sure of the exact wording.

Well when i stole the idol i heard 1 of them say:Come on man...like stealin something thats...not yours thats...like not cool dude.

When I stole it, they said "Oh, man. This is bad! Really bad! Well, not as bad as that one time I had an ingrown toenail, but still really bad!"

I guess they say different things.

Most of those things are just what they say when you beat them up. Clearly you guys have been way too nice to them if you don't realise that.

what the *** is an idol

Well an idol is(in this case)a valiable statue representing a god or a....whatever that grubb shapped idol was seppose to be.

Why would the grubbs worship an idol of a grubb. If it were just a statue I would understand them having it in the village, but it is clearly an idol.

where do y'all find an idol, and steal it?(do you mean a little green-blue glowing thingy, that counts as moolah? i've seen those before.)

It's like that, but the shape of a Grubb. Is located in the first grubb village.

Yea i know its an idol,my problem is that i know stuff but i cant explain them.
Why do the grubb's have an idol anyway?
To look at it and say:OOOOOOO ITS SHINEY!
Then they might as well shoulda made it an idol of a steef

Mabey the idol is a statue of some famous Grubb.

Give him a break. That was funny as hell. The best thing that they say when you take the idol is "You shouldn't have done that. It's bad enough that we look like dicks but you won't even let us have our pride as a people." That made me feel really bad when they said that.

You felt bad over video game characters?

Its ok its just funny to read that because its really saying "I felt bad for those animated pixels that make up a design of a character." Hehe! :D Anyway the Grub idol is maybe an idol of an establishing Grub or perhaps a Grub god that looks like a normal Grub. Who knows.

In the village when you become the steef (and have your crossbow), there is a rope you can climb on a sort of stair at the "altar" you landed. if you climb that rope and get up, you'll see stingbees, boombats a crate of 2 sniper darts(i think) and further on that road some bolamites...
that ain't the reason for this post, i'm smart, i know. But, on that region you'll see two or three statues of grubbs, almost in the same shape as the idol. I think its sort of like the statue at the end of the grubb temple.

But they still all look the same, but all grubbs do. Maybe it's a famous dude who battled for the river with the olden-steef. Or one of the grubb leaders back then. We cant tell. Maybe max's got any info 'bout grubb leaders or spirituals.

but to get back to the topic: once i stole the idol (yep i found it thanx to ya'll) one door opened in the room where the idol was. then all of the sudden 2 grubbs ran out. One ran back in. But the other, he stared at me at first, and then he sead somthing like:
"Steef-dude, is evrything alright? you fine? you should take some therapy man, sjeesh." and after that he started walking like I was the steef instead of Stranger. Weird.

I've seen those statues and that's what I would call them: "statues". They could well be important Grubbs. I just don't understand why they would have an idol of a grubb.
