hi I was wondering if you can change you'r name because I want to chenge it.Is there anyway to do it

Very few people deserve a name change. I would like to lose 'the Intern' from my name. It reminds me of dark times. Also I have little interest in Oddworld games anymore. Plus, I'd just like to be known as Rich.

You can't just change it because you're bored.

I know admins can change your name but they won't do it cuz it messes up a lot. I'd like a name change from duveaux into Duveaux. I hate it I don't have a capital letter ='(

i have noticed in other threads that you have an aversion to using it, you should try it sometime, it`s very enjoyable.

I'm pretty certain you can't delete your account, and you are not allowed more than one.
Anyway, as far as name changing goes, I'm pretty sure they'll only change names for people who have a pretty good reason, such as The Big Cheese, who used to be called GENARAL dripik, which was the same as another member except the other member had spelling general correctly.

I think it's a good punishment for people who didn't think their names through very well.

No, saying the word "cheese" doesn't make you clever or crazy-sounding. It's considered overused because it's been used by so many other people who want to sound clever or crazy. It's lost its shock value.
"Oh, he said he wants to become the King of Cheese. Haven't heard that one a million times already..."

The word cheese just doesn't have the kind of flare that it used to. Use a different word, because "cheese" no longer makes you sound clever.

I wanted my name changed once. I thought the name "Oddish" was to corney. I wanted something which had the "odd" in it, Max suggested the name "Anyodd" which is is oringaly somone who was, I forgot, but some myth god, or something. But I thought just to stick with the name Oddish. Prehaps I should been called Yodda, me thinks.

That's not true. I used to run a forum, and we allowed name changing - it never bothered us. Most people found a name that they liked and stuck with it anyway. We just made sure that within our forums, it was frowned upon to change your name and not tell anyone. We made a subforum for name change announcements.

Eventually this subforum was swapped for a vBulletin hack that worked by putting a "Formerly: Yournamehere" on your postbit for a month after changing your name.

We NEVER had any problems with it. In fact we found that it helped people who were being made fun of because their name was a bit dubious. Also we had a couple of people who changed their forum name because it carried bad memories (IE family member passing away, etc.). There was the occasional name change among long time users, which became a bit of an event in itself - they made threads on what their new name should be, and we eventually reinstated the subforum to facilitate these discussions.

BTW I'm not saying that we should allow namechanging on this forum, I'm just making the point that it's a common myth that namechanging on a forum causes confusion. User changeable forum names are the only way to do namechanging, otherwise you end up with a million and one threads like these, and a massive workload on the admin team.
