Sapphire's Oddworld art

Even though my art's up at my site, I figure I'd toss a few direct images on here. There are more on my website if one's willing to sift through my stuff. :) They are in order from most recent to earliest. Most are of a mudokon called Phil, but there are one or two with Abe.

THAT WAS SO COOL AND AWSOME AND GREAT AND GOOD AND PERFECT AND well you get the idea! Cool Sapphire!

Dipstikk 04-20-2005 01:22 PM

Yay! You're finally here!

Oddish 04-20-2005 02:00 PM

Those are just astounding miraculous art!

This Mudokon sim is halirous, well done. You sure like drawing mudokons.

odd chick 04-20-2005 02:35 PM

Wow, that art is great, Sapphire! I'd love to see some more soon! :) I can see that you love drawing Mudokons-and I can understand why. ;)

Sapphire 04-20-2005 02:36 PM

Thank you!

Yeah, I'm biased towards mudokons. :) Eventually I'll add more, but right now I'm doing other non-Oddworld projects. The reason there are so many mudokons is because most of them are of a character (Phil) I made several years ago, so I tend to draw him more than other things. In fact... all but three of these are Phil. Go figure!

Abe16 04-20-2005 02:37 PM

......AMAZING! You are incredible!! Did you design your avatar youeself? I liked the sims one and the "Out to lunch" !

Hey, I'm biased toward Mudokons too-they're my favorite and they're just so darn cute! (In a strange sort of way) Well, I can't wait to see more of your art when you get it ready! :)

General Dripikk 04-20-2005 02:51 PM

Wow! That is some really great work! I like the Abe costume! ^^

Godlesswanderer 04-20-2005 04:26 PM

I didn't realise you weren't already here. But welcome anyway, I think I've commented on most of those on DA. But I might as well say they're great anyway :).

Agent-Sarah 04-20-2005 09:41 PM

Damn! I'm....I don't know what to say....

Sapphire 04-20-2005 10:36 PM

I just joined today, Godless. I finally caved. Thanks for stopping by on deviantart, I really appreciate it. :)

Godlesswanderer 04-20-2005 11:12 PM

No problem... There really should be some kind of hug emote here :).

big bro slig #1 04-21-2005 07:19 AM

Abe16 04-21-2005 07:29 AM

hello Sapphire :D
I saw all of those already and I still love them as I did before...though this Phill Sim is new for me :)

duveaux 04-21-2005 09:17 AM

Phil does seem to have big succes with the girls...

Sapphire 04-21-2005 12:15 PM

duveaux: You've seen him before? Where, deviantart? :)

About the sim, I posted on it in the appropriate thread. Feel free to ask questions in there. I'm no sure where to upload the skin, but if people wanna see the skin files as an example, I can put those up on photobucket too. If anyone knows how to do meshes, that would be cool.

duveaux 04-21-2005 12:47 PM

Yeah, visited. I really love the jumping elum!

cherie 04-25-2005 05:22 PM

The Marching Mudokon 05-07-2005 06:25 PM

Wow, I wish I could draw half as good as you! Hope to see more int the not too distant future!

sliguy101 05-07-2005 07:00 PM

You sure do have alot of time on your hands, don't you?

Sapphire 05-09-2005 10:34 AM

cherie: Thanks for coming by, I really appreciate your comment, as always. :)

chirpy7: Thank you! Lots of practice and observation is the key.

The Marching Mudokon: Hi! Thanks for your comments, that's so nice! I usually don't post my art here so much, but I post a bunch of it on deviantart at firesprite.deviantart.com . There will be more recent updates there.

sliguy101: Well, as I plan to be a concept artist for a living, it's not so much about how much time I have on my hands as it is using time I have to practice, learn and create art (when I'm not feeling lazy, that is!). Art is both a hobby and a potential career, so I spend a lot of time on it.
