No Noos of Fangus!

Yeah, it was a long shot, but it would've been cool.

Well yeah, Oddworld's Fangus has been cancaled, that's why it isn't on there.

Really? Actually cancelled? Not just getting other people to do most of the work? When did this happen?

It says in an Gamespot artcle, OWI are not making games them selfs, so I don't think Fangus is in development anymore.

Oddworld is probably into making movies.

oh no! i liked the way oddworld already was. maybe we shouldn't of have a poll about oddworld making movies. i was still looking forward to fangus, i just hope oddworld will make movies and games, with different stories.

Ooh, I'm not sure if I like the way that sounds. (with OWI not developing the games themselves.) You did see the way the Crash and Spyro games ended up after Naughty Dog and Insomniac stopped developing them, right? =/

You never know, the Fangus idea may be taken on to their probable film ventures.

No one has said Fangus has been cancelled. Seeing as the first announcement of the title was a mere few days before the press release of OWI's downsizing, it's more than likely Lorne already knew the fate of the company, and quite likely that Lorne is looking for an external developer to make the game.

Oddworld Inhabitants aren't making anything except ideas any more. They're not even doing website updates. They now exist as a creative think tank, not developers or producers.

No, there's a massive difference here, and that's that Lorne and Sherry still have 100% ownership of the Oddworld franchise. They're leasing development of their projects out to external teams, but they still retain creative control, whereas ND at least (I'm not familiar with the Spyro series) never even owned the franchise to begin with.

I think it's the lack of any real news of Fangus that really disappoints me. You probably have noticed I stopped posting as much. I'm just so damn depressed about this game not being made (yet?). I just hope we hear something about Fangus soon.

Heck, I hope we hear about any game soon!

I just wish that fangus will come out soon its just that if they gave some news about this game all be more happy.

P.S I was so happy when i heard they were going to make fangus.

Oh, well I wasn't sure if they still had 100% ownership of Oddworld or not. Since they still do, then that makes me feel a bit more comfortable. :)

Yes, I'm pretty sure all they're going to do is plot, characters, creatures, stuff like that.

Aeon Flux? Boy, that's probably gonna suck.

As far as Fangus goes, whatever. I always had a feeling it would never come around anyway.

Yes, Psychonauts looked gay but I ended up liking it. I thought Fangus would happen, but that shows you I'm very gullible. Note: I know it MIGHT so please no comments on that.

I have the feeling majesco won't do Fangus at all.
To work with owi is something you'd be proud to, and thus say it everywhere (ok, ea didn't...)

or perhaps it could be a surprise, but I don't think so

In any case, even if Fangus is still going ahead, they still wouldn't be putting it on display at E3 because there is no way that it would be in a demo-ready state. Let's not forget that SW only came out a few months ago and they are still organising themselves in the new production paradigm.
