Sting Bees in AO
I wounder if the bees in AO are the same kind in Stranger. I would imagine that they are since we havn't really seen any bees in AE and MO.
Its kind of strange that the bees in AO don't look like that they would be something you can load into a crossbow like Stranger's. In AO the bees look too small for that but then again I can be wrong. I think that they are the same breed of bee. What do you think? All OWI needs to do is add Abe in Stranger and throw a rock at the bees nest as Elum goes and licks the hunny. I can easily see Elum being bothered by sting bees. |
I think they are the same bees, but with a lil transformation, like that I noticed that the bolamite in the bbb inrto movie were a lot different from the in-game bolamites. I think they've only got through a design transformation.
|
I don't think they are the same...
their hive look different. I guess since we aren't in the same location it may be a different variety of bees |
Well, they look different, and they have different species names... so.. well, maybe they're not the same.
|
in the art book, it shows a different design for them. i guess they are simmaler but no the same. like boombats and bats in AO.
|
Well there are many different species of bees on earth. I mean compare bumblebees (huge and stocky) with honey bees (small and sleek)
|
yeah, that's true, but you don't know if 'stingbee' is the main specie or on of a bee's 'subspecies'.
|
There ain't no bee designs in the art book - there are wasp designs, though. I almost wish they were in the game, because they looked like mean beasts. The AO bees were incorporated into the Oddworld.com design, and subsequently the Oddworld Forums' design. See how different they are from Stingbees?
|
Well, its very possible they just changed their appearance around.
|
thus they aren't the same anymore ;)
|
Exactly right.

*edit* I think Strangers' Wrath sucked as an Oddworld game, and there was no connection, in the story, to any other Oddworld games, and there never will be, so quit being such ****ing idiots and hoping/pretending that there will ever be a connection between OSW and the other Oddworld games, like Abe's Oddysee/Exoddus, which were the only OW games that were worth anything... |
tentacle_orgy, we do not need that kind of post here. This topic is perfectly valid, and people are allowed to have their own opinions. One key fact you forget is that a Vykker was present in the game. Not too mention they're on Mudos, and that the River Mongo is that used by Gabbits, and possibly the center-piece of Munch's Exoddus.
A lot of you need to remember your manners, because you seem to think you can degrade anyone. Especially considering most of you are the older, and supposedly more 'mature' members. Don't make me get the rules out and recite Rule #1 with the wrath of God. On topic, I don't think the bees in Abe's Oddysee are the same as Sting Bees in Stranger's Wrath. The bees in AO appear similar to the bees you see on Earth, while Sting Bees resemble Earthly wasps. Personally I prefer the AO bees. Alcar... |

Huh, I am confused? WTF
|
:
It's as if the bees' from AO fell onto Stranger's crossbow. |
Yeah, I never would have thought to ask that question.
|
:
Wow, that was THE most ****ing pointless reply I've ever seen...It added nothing, at all, to the discussion... |
He was just pointing out that a good question was asked.
|
:
That's a warning. Get two more, and I'll get my daily dose of happy vibes from banning you. Leave the disciplining to those with the power to do so, and cut the attitude. Alcar... |
Alcar, stop stirring up trouble.
The wasps are on page 74. |
lol :p
Um.. so i don't see how the bees from AO looks like tho ones from SW at all... mean, a bee from AO could be in the palm of Abe, and abe is much smaller than Stranger. A stingBee is much bigger, and nests aren't alike either. So it's a different kind of bee. |
Although when comparing the size of Live Ammo creatures, you need to realise that creatures that are different sizes in realtime appear the same size on your crossbow. Shoot an uncharged Zappfly near an unconscious Boombat and then zoom in to see the difference.

Maybe Lorne put it in the game for us to figure out. ;) :fuzconf:
