stranger or steef
What part of the game did you enjoy more strangers part or steefs part
I liked them both... The first part was really good with the money and stuff, and a great system, but I feel the gameplay is nicer after you'd 'turned' into a steef...
Maybe the first part was my favorite because in the second haldf you don't earn money anymore |
i liked both two but i liked the steff part because you just look kick ass with centaur legs and horn and the armor but the bosses in the stranger part was great to
I prefered the steef part... I loved the feel of it.
it was like a reward after playing the first part that was already great :D. |
I liked how Stranger looked as a steef with those overalls. The armor was okay, but I still missed those overalls...
I have to say I liked the steef part the best. It just seemed more fun with the grubs and wolvarks... and I liked it how you could climb ropes, swim, and run faster. :D
I liked how Stranger ran on all fours...That was cool...
both were cool, but him being a steef was the best because then its like, "okay, now im going for the REAL goal, the REAL ending." ---did that make sense?
i agree with Paco those overalls were the best costume he could get....but i liked the second part because that boat you could get was the best thing you could do....

:fuzwink: |
Yeah, I thought Stranger was cooler as a Steef because of his better armor and weapons.
I don't think I liked the dynamics of Steef all that much. I mean, if he's galloping on all fours, AND he has his arms pulling him forward, isn't that a bit redundant? I always thought that he was just going to end up being like an lion/gorilla like animal, and not a billy goat. His legs really bothered me as well, because his stature was so much shorter. I really liked the proportioning with Stranger and everything was positioned and looked just right. If perhaps Steef had simply hooves at the end of his feet, instead of 4 seperate short stubby legs, I surely would have loved Steef more, but he's just so diminutive and I really fouond it hard to like his look, until the final armor upgrade. Probably the only one who feels this way, but, meh...
Steef legs were kewl.
I liked both! But i really liked Stranger's part. ;)
The Steef bit was best cuz you could just blow the crap out of everything and not have to care about capturing them alive.
Conker, Stranger does have hooves.
I much prefer playing as a steef because: 1) He just looks so cool. 2) I feel more important. There's nothing quite as addictive as having a bunch of Grubbs surrounding me cheering me on and stuff. Also, I'm no longer simply doing stuff for money. I'm savin' the Grubbs! 3) The ammo. So sweet. 4) The ammo breeding bag thing. Also very sweet. Sniper wasps are my favorite ammo, but they're in such short supply. But that's no problem with the ammo breeding bag. Thing. 5) What's that thing called? The thing that the Stranger part is missing? Oh yeah, a plot. :D Before, it was like "Now go here and catch this guy and make some money. Okay, now go here and catch THIS guy and make some money." Now it's all, "You're the savior of the Grubbs! Go to the last Grubb city and save our leader!" 6) I move much faster and accelerate much faster. 7) Somehow it seems like one looks old as the Stranger. I don't know why. Probably because you see the facial features and he has a sort of lined face, which would look old by human standards. But once you see the face in context, it seems to fit. Once he loses the bounty hunter duds, Stranger looks really young. And other things. The one thing I miss about being the Stranger was the boots. Those boots kicked so much ass. |
I know he has hooves, I meant just BIpedal with hooves. Of course I knew he had hooves for cryin' out loud. Common sense peeps.
And yes, the boots is basically what sets Strange and Steef apart, apparently. That's the thing that I hated. He was so damn short as Steef. I loved the large feet with boots, but then they stripped him of that. Weak OWI, weak. |
I like the Steef-part cus´ then ya know the big secret ´bout Stranger, and there is four things that i like to share with y´all when it comes to the Steef-thing:
1) he runs faster without his boots. 2) new upgraded live ammo 3) he´s the savior of the Grubbs. 4) he looks younger without his bounty hunter stuff. I guess it´s probally more ´bout him but these are the basic things I have seen :) |
I really like the Steef design. it was just a standard centaur with long horse legs and a big rump. Instead, they were relatively small and worked very well with the character. I also preferred playing as Steef. Running on all sixes was great. The ammo was great, and we finally had a substantial plot.
And the first new ammo, armor and guns you get are in the steef part of the game.
I liked the Steef part beter, cause of the different armor you get. And the environment was more interactive. Snipers in the tower, better ammo, electric tanks, everything was way more alive. I had the feeling everything speeded up and didn't slow down until the end. And man, that last movie was sweet.
But the part that you play has stranger is good to because you have
1.the boots 2.you have towns 3.and it feels more of a darker game 4.oh yeah and the kick ass hat and the good things about steef 1.you run faster 2.you have those grubbs witch fight, instead of those clackers whitch are stupid lazy chickens 3.the game feels like an all out war 4.you have 3 kickass armour but overall there both good |
I really liked the Stranger part. I am a big fan of the Clint Eastwood/man with no name films, and westerns in general. I thought that that was really unique in this game. The steef part was good too, but I enjoyed Stranger more.
I realy liked strangers part because it was fun to try to capture them alive but you could just kick the $h!* out of the wolvarks.
I liked steef's part,
1(you get better ammo, 2(he gets an awesome and better suit 3(He gets cooler enimies, 4( and last, he kicks butt at that part,( seriously, he fights more enimies than ever!) |
I liked the Steef part best because
a) The Stranger part had no storyline and b) I hated the fact that I sucked and couldn't capture the bosses alive |
it had a story line, he had to get the opperation
But we didn't know what the operation was for. So basically we had to save for something and we didn't even know what it was.
That sure is engrossing plot. |
Well you could that when De cast took a peek at the operation plans papers, you could that Stranger wanted his legs stiched together.
Which is when the game became the Steef part, so what's that got to do with anything?
Unless 'De Cast' is the name of the Vykker, I don't know, I've only played it once. |
