Oddish 03-30-2005 11:50 AM

stingbee 03-30-2005 12:25 PM

I sleepwalk and bite my nails alot

AquaticAmbi 03-30-2005 03:25 PM

I have a strange habit of breaking up anything I eat into small pieces with my hands instead of just biting into whatever it is while eating. This started when I got braces around when I was 13 and I was always paranoid I'd get food stuck in the front of them. I had braces for over 3 years, so even now it's hard to break the habit.

Also, I have the bad habit of poking my friends. A lot.

Dipstikk 03-30-2005 04:04 PM

I talk to myself when I'm alone, and I have this painful shoulder jerk that's associated with both nervousness and my aspergers syndrome.

Joe the Glukkon 03-30-2005 04:52 PM

When nobody's home, and if I get angry at something, I yell and scream and let off some steam.

I do that too. The leg thing, not the skin thing. Though that would be cool.

I'm fairly orally fixated (go with me here...) so I often suck my thumb, little finger or a pen, which looks pretty stupid when I'm among people above the age of three. I used to do it so much that the skin on the little finger on my left hand was made completely hard and tough. It took years of avoiding that finger to heal properly.

I know loads of people with AS, for some reason everywhere I go there seems to be somebody with AS...

Anyways I chew my guitar plectrum/pick. Started back when I used to lose a lot of plectrums from just putting them down somewhere and forgetting where I put them... so to solve this I used to bite down on the plectrum and hold it in my teeth, or just keep it on my tongue when I wasn't using it so I would always know where it is.

So far I've only swallowed 2. :D

stingbee 03-31-2005 12:42 AM

my heart feels like something is crawling over it when i am nervous

If that wasn't a joke I fear for your health.

Nate 03-31-2005 05:05 PM

I also talk to myself, usually when I'm driving or doing homework. Lately, though, I've found myself doing it in public, which is worrying.

When I was little I used to sleepwalk. I'd climb down the bunk-bed, walk downstairs, turn on the tv and start crying because Sesame Street wasn't on. All this would set off the alarm and wake up my whole family, thinking they were being burgled.

Silent_Hunter 04-01-2005 01:14 PM

I have sleep depression. I have to stare at the celing for about six hours into the night before I conk out. It sucks.

My other habit is drawing. If it's boring in the classroom, house, ect, I draw. I'm pretty good at it too. That and writing. I like to write and tell stories to little (and adults) kids.

An the really strange thing I do is restless leg syndrome. Part of the sleep depression. I'll be gently falling asleep, then my legs sudenly fly up without warning. It can be large or a small attack, and people know when it comes on. I can't walk and I get really drowsy.

Silversnow 04-01-2005 01:16 PM

I talk to myself, a lot. I only do it when I think I'm alone. I tend to suddenly start laughing, if people ask me what's funny I can't remember it. I haven't managed to do that during a sad moment, thankfully. I often find myself staring out into the air, not thinking. It's quite relaxing.
I used to sleepwalk too. Wandering around the house, looking awake but you could see in my eyes I was asleep. When I was about 4-5 years, I could suddenly sit up and start screaming. I robbed my parents of a lot of sleep. :D

Leto 04-02-2005 12:07 AM

I always shake.

I have a tendency to pretend to ignore people so they can just bugger off.

When I can't sleep I just stare into blank space, and everything starts to move... But only if I keep my eyes open, if I blink everythings normal. Its cool.

I talk to my guinea pigs. Sad, really.

I have the same problem, damn it hurts. Other than that I have a severe gaming addiction, it may not sound wierd but I barely ever leave my room.

Shinjara 04-02-2005 07:17 AM

I am going to be honest with myself, my worst habit is burping. Nothing wrong with it though huh? :P

Another one is like nate_dog_woof's, I usually have a pen or something in my mouth, sort of a comfort thing I guess.

Disgruntled Intern 04-03-2005 01:06 PM

I have night terrors.

I also sleep-walk.

The one that most people tend to look at as 'the weirdest' is my severe social anxiety. I'm fine with social gatherings and public settings, but if I feel super crowded or unsafe then I'm quickly reduced to a series of severe panic attacks.

That's why going to hardcore shows is ideal for me. Being crammed into a small venue with hundreds of people is helping me learn to cope with my social anxiety by beating the hell out of people in the pit.

Fuzzleman54321 04-03-2005 01:22 PM

I talk to myself and if i'm angry, I slap and punch myself. (Ouch)

i always carry a tennis ball around
i play with my gum a lot these days, because a piece of one is dropping off.

Xavier 04-03-2005 01:55 PM

I use to not cut my hand nails
I turn blue when I'm realy mad
and I scratch myself (with my nails) when I feel extermely bad

but appart from that I'm normal :p

Now now there is nothing wrong to talking to them, right tiny? SQUEAK!

AquaticAmbi 04-03-2005 04:57 PM

I forgot to mention that many animals live in my purse, and sometimes my glow-in-the-dark pants when I wear those. No, not real animals, just little toy ones. Examples: A wind-up pink goose, a llama, an ostrich, a penguin, several different cows, a beluga whale, a moose with 3 legs, a squeaky panda, and, well, so many more. Whee!

Esus 04-03-2005 05:11 PM

Like a couple of others, I constantly chew or suck on a pen, if there's one near me. I also often suck my thumb.

In my art class, if I see that the knife on the paper cutter is even the slightest bit open, I have to press it down and lock it into place.

In lieu of proper grammar, I use a lot of ellipses when posting here.

I have to "finish" one video game before moving on to the next. Likewise, I have to finish one art project before moving on, one school project, etc.

If someone touches something that belongs to me, I have touch it back to sort of... reconfirm that it's mine.

...

I don't know... I have a lot of obsessive compulsive habits...

No, I talk to my dog when I'm lonely, and I talk to Fuzzle Guy's Guinea Pigs.

Rex Tirano 04-04-2005 09:32 AM

I used to talk to my Guinea Pigs, and there's nothing wrong with that.

I sniff my hair when I feel unsafe, because it smells nice. And my friends always annoying me about it, but it's comforting!

Some people [I'm like DI in a way] are suprised that I can have panic attacks when I'm an outgoing person. But if I feel really scared or unsafe, I can have panic attacks.

After having a hot shower, I have the have a cold shower for a minute or so.

Oh, and when I got shopping I have to put everything in the right order. I don't mean your average person type way, I get really angry if someone puts something in the wrong bag {like dairy with meat, or vedge and fruit in with something else}.

T-nex 04-04-2005 09:58 AM

I have the tendency not to listen to people when they talk to me. It always ends up with me thinking about something else, and having to ask them to repeat what they say.
