Sex Symbol - Red X
Since the forums exploded a few months back, some members have had a red X instead of their sex symbol (http://www.oddworldforums.net/images...ender_Male.gif/http://www.oddworldforums.net/images...der_Female.gif) in industrial which, as Alcar told me, is because the database lost some info on member's sex so they are registered as neither male nor female.
I've been doing my bit to keep people informed about this when they have the problem and I've sent lots of PMS but it seems like we've had a renewed wave of them in the last week or so (even from people who had fixed it). Can the mods please put up a sticky thread so that people know about this problem? |
Hmm... The problem is different now. These are new members, not existing members. I suppose it'd have to do with the option to not specify a gender.
Alcar... |
Shouldn't there be a set graphic for people that didn't specify a gender?
|
I'm talking about people like Statikk HDM and Jacob.
|
What happens if people choose 'other' for their gender?
|
Has it been fixed? I checked the Postbit Templates and changed dissimilar code to what I expect should solve this problem.

I believe I've seen some posters with no symbol at all. Thanks Peter.
|
Oh, I get it now.
|
We still have the problem. I noticed paramiteabe today

Paramiteabe appears well to me. I don't see a graphic at all. Wich is a good thing, right?

Thankyou for the confirmation. I'll await the evil slave master, Nate, to further confirm ;) Alcar... |
You see that is the problem when you use Firefox. Not that that's a bad thing, it's not, it's a good thing. But if an image is broken, Firefox just doesn't show it. So I never knew there was a problem with this until seeing this topic.

And people inbetween sex changes.

And people who just like their privacy.
And people who are just so stupid that they didn't see the option. |
