On a side note my Hubby is REAL excited about
this new IPO stock GRDX. They just started trading
this one like 2 days ago. It's already almost
doubled in just 2 days! My Husband is really
excited about this stock. Say's it could make us
some really BIG money. You guys should check it out.

He didn't use any oddicons, he only used two types of emoticon, and they're standard on any forum. The "placement" has nothing to do with it - yes a real live person created the original message, but a bot posted it. There was no "bad joke about growth" either, you're just imagining that and reading between the lines too much.

What he posted was quite obviously a template message, and I bet a quick google search will reveal that the same message has been posted on several forums.

I would say that Dino is correct. This would also explain the "hubby" reference, as some forums don't have a male/female select, so it was possibly ignored.
Also, if you look at his/her/it's profile, it doesn't really look very genuine. ;)
