Stranger's Life-saving operation

What does his operation consist of?...What does it do?...Why did he need it?...

TheLonelySteef 02-23-2005 07:04 PM

I believe it would combine the hind legs with the front ones making him "normal". It also probably extended the legs making them longer.

Abe16 02-23-2005 07:04 PM

Um, okay i'll try to make out what you said. seriously, i hav no clue. And it makes him be normal, he wants to be normal so noone no's he's a steef, and he thinks the outlaws and clakkers would make fun of him, but they didn't, they just ran aay scared trieing to shoot him. Hope this helped ya.

ConkerTribe 02-23-2005 09:12 PM

Actually, the Clakkerz shot at him because of the bounty on his head. If you listen closely, you can hear them talking about it while you escape through the town.

Also, I never thought it was all that complicated. I thought that all he would do is cut off his hind legs and Stranger would somehow support himself that way... Nowhere does the diagram show the hind legs melding with the front ones.

The diagram does show it. The spinal cord needs to be shortened and the extra mass removed. The two front legs aren't built to support the entire weight unaided. But besides that, there are giant stitches running down the sides of his legs, and I'm pretty sure there are arrows that indicate half of the front and back legs are melded together.

EDIT: Maybe it doesn't HAVE to be that complicated, but I don't think its a stretch to say it would be difficult regardless. But even if it were possible to do it simpler, I don't think the Doc would go that route. He's a Vykker, and on top of inflicting pain they love science, so its not surprising he might find a more...interesting solution to the problem. Besides, then he can charge more.

Yeah, the diagram made it pretty obvious. Grafting the back legs to the front.

Also, I think the Vykkers have little regard for what's medically possible, as long as they get to mutilate something......

I think Doc cared more about the moolah than the legs.

Agent-Sarah 02-24-2005 10:46 AM

Well after all, the Vykker doc wants the moolah.

Abe16 02-24-2005 03:35 PM

Ya got that right, and so did Irwin and Humphrey.

Agent-Sarah 02-25-2005 12:39 PM

At least the doc didn't burn holes into people's heads....(or did he? lol)

Abe16 02-25-2005 04:06 PM

well he's a doctor, not a scientist like Irwin and humphrey.
