Adios.
I'll be gone for a week or so.
One of my close friends from back home had blood clots in his legs which have unfortunately traveled to his heart. He's just gotten out of surgery but unfortunately only has a 10% chance of survival. I need to be with him, not you. |
Run to him, then, DI. Ahem.
Good bye, be seeing you soon, hopefully. Hope everything turns out OK... You have my sympathy. |
Sorry to hear that DI...
|
See you soon, I'm sure Codek or mawk can take your place.
|
:
Hope that your friend will get good health DI. See you then. |
Best of luck, DI. I'm not sure if your friend can make it, but there's always a slim chance...
I just hope that he does, for your sake and the sake of his family. |
He died before I could leave.
My friends are all the family I have. |
I'm sincerely sorry for you loss, Davie. I know what you mean by the friends being all the family you have thing.
In English class today, we read a poem in which nature was personified. It was comforting a man uneasy and fearing death, saying that there is nothing to be feared because in the end, death is everyone's destiny. And when each of our turns come to die, we should welcome it as if we were taking a nap on our couch. Death is like taking a nap that no one will have to be awaken from. I'm not sure if that holds any coherence, but I hope it provides some sense of optimistic comfort. |
it makes sense.
unless the man in question is hit by a bus or some other non-peaceful form of dying. then it's more like trying to take a nap, but being awoken by your alarm every five minutes. sorry about your friend. i know how it feels. i'm not saying that to be passé and comforting. i honestly do. |
I'm sorry about that.

i once read that it is far better to celebrate the life , rather than to mourn the death, of a loved one. This works for me. i know that this sounds like B. S. at this time of shock and grief, but it dose work. "My friends are all the family I have" Take consolation in this, as it gives you the chance to have the largest "family" of anyone you know. That is something blood can not offer. |
Ouch...
Sorry to hear that. You have my pity and condolences. |
