Stranger is not his name!
 

Well I notice by playing throughout the game that the Clakkerz call this paticular steef stranger simply because they don't know what this steefs true name is. This is fact because the grubs call him by his native species "steef" not stranger because he is a steef. So I have concluded that Stranger/ Steef is not a name par say but more or less a place holder for a name that is apparently unknown to us at the moment.

What do you think about this theory of mine? Any thought on this idea? Think we will find what the stranger's real name is?

I don't think he has a name. Both Stranger, and Steef are secretive names.

Well duh they are place holders, but they are way more mysterious than a real name. I think he has a name, but if we do find out it won't be till a while in the series and his name will probably be something dorky like Eugene or something like that.

It's good, if Stranger don't have a name.

Of course Stranger isn't his name. He has often been referred to in marketing as 'The mysterious stranger', or 'The stranger'; showing that he is a stranger, rather than Stranger being his name.

As Xavier said, pretty much everyone knew that Stranger wasn't his real name. No one knows his name. I'm willing to bet even Stranger doesn't even know his own name.

We've known he was a Steef for a long time. Since the Discovery Channel special. It's never been a spoiler.

Yeah it was obvious his name was not Stranger. I say he's called that by the Clakker's because it's a nickname.

It stands to reason that any one the Clakkers don`t know would be called stranger.
Maybe his name is " Filthy Beast", that seems to be what he is called the most in the last half of the show. :D

I think it's pretty much settled that his name isn't stranger and that his real name is

His name is obviously not Stranger. Lorne has said himself that we don't know his name, and that's why he's referred to as Stranger.

No use speculating on what his name is. I'm betting he doesn't even have one. And I like it that way. Abe and Munch are very straightforward and comical names, and they fit those characters very well. The Stranger is neither comical nor straightforward, he is an enigma wrapped inside a conundrum, with a very serious demeanor and a very serious job. He needs no name or title other than Stranger. And I don't think any name could suit him nearly as well as Stranger. I hope we are never told what his real name is (if he has one).

Lorne wanted Stranger's Wrath to be like the "man with no name" trilogy, with Clint Eastwood. In those movies he only had nicknames. Stranger is pretty much Oddworld's Clint.

Yeah that's what I'm getting at in my last post. His name is as good as Stranger, because he's officially called that, and we were never given a different name.

Maybe Steef don't rely on names as much as we do. I mean, they are considered wildlife by the more advanced Oddworld pioneers. But because he wanted to mingle with the civilized, he needed a monicker to go by. So he went with something he wanted to be: A stranger.

I still think his name is GEORGE.
