New guy impressed !!!

BRAVO!!, a fan forum where most members practice the lost art of written
communication, not just endless abbreviations , and flashing icons.
Articulate members, and actual punctuation, WHOA NELLY! i may have found
intelligent life forums ( that`t a pun, son ).
Happy to be on board.

And no, it is not bad grammar, i never use the capital I. It`s a humility thing.

Welcome to our delightful forum.

Great isn't it? We do our best to encourage actual grammar and spelling, it makes life so much easier. Any attempts at 'wat r u up 2' will probably get the offending member a severe...ah...'scolding' from pretty much everyone else.

Life here is good. :)

Welcome to the forums Voodo Hand. We're glad you like the forums.

Welcome to the forums :)

Fuzzle Guy 02-13-2005 10:55 AM

Welcome. My spelling is good but I often have typing errors cos I type way too fast. (I think that post was ok for spelling)

Rex Tirano 02-13-2005 11:25 AM

Welcome! Glad to know someone else is glad to have proper spelling. ^_^

Ahh. The art of the English language.

Don't spam (as if YOU would :p *has grown liking to already*). Don't Flame. And obviously please use correct grammar.

^_^ Hee.

AquaticAmbi 02-13-2005 12:31 PM

Yes... it certainly is good to hear someone of a new member's appreciation of the coherence of these forums.

Welcome aboard, sir. Feel free to just call me "Ambi". :)

Gretin 02-13-2005 02:56 PM

Hi there, Voodoo Hand! As Ambi said, it's good to hear someone who likes the art of making sense! ;) I think the trouble with abbreviations is that people just assume that everyone knows what they mean, which is usually untrue. And it's a lot easier to read: "What are you up to?" as opposed to: "wat r u up 2."
My posts usually (read as: not always) have correct spelling, because I proofread before I post, but sometimes I'll miss something and have to go back and edit it. :D

Hi and welcome to the forums, Voodoo Hand! :D I'm glad you appreciate the good use of spelling and grammar on these forums! ;)

Voodoo Hand 02-13-2005 04:55 PM

Thank you one and all

Thank you for the warm welcome.
It`s not that i am some kind of spelling nut, i just find it way cool that this
community seems to care enough about what they say to do it up right.
And if someone is posting in something other than their native language
far be from me to dog them about a misspelled word. Hell english is my
primary tongue and i don`t have that good of a grip on it.

Thanks again

Welcome aboard.

Alcar 02-13-2005 10:17 PM

Welcome Voodoo Hand! Great to see members with a personality whilst maintaining some form of intelligence! ;)

I'm the resident Nazi, which every forum has, so you'd better have blonde hair and blue eyes. Or else.

Alcar...

I like the way that these forums have intelligent lifeforms. And I'll do anything to keep them that way.

So welcome. :)

mawk 02-14-2005 11:27 PM

I'm amazed, no, stunned that in your search for the perfect forum, you somehow managed to not notice or simply miss all the decent forums out there, found this one, and decide that it was better than the rest because so far, you've only ever seen forums where most users have an IQ of under 100.

That's quite a feat. Not far short of eating a donut without getting sugar on your fingers or lips.

Voodoo Hand 02-15-2005 02:53 AM

Never said there were not others, just that this one is way above par.

That`s no feat at all, i eat plain donuts, and use my trunk.

Cyber-Slig 02-15-2005 09:06 AM

Welcome. I encourage members to use punctuation, in a friendly manner. Is'nt that right Alpha? *Takes out axe again*

Here's an advanced warning:

Don't mess with me, I'm dangerous, my bitter rhetoric will eat you alive if you even so much as attempt to engage me in forum combat. I'm freaken controversial biatch, so you better watch out.

Other than that, welcome aboard Mr. Merrick.

Well thanks for the warning. it would seem unlikely that there will be any confrontation between us ,as i am here to learn something about Oddworld,
and you seem to be here to, how did you say it, oh yes , " be noticed".
Have been looking over your posts, and it seems that you don`t swim far from Off-Topic pool, a place where i spend little time.

A word to you my Carcharodon carcharias :
don`t be so quick to rise to the bait, yes my last post was bait,
because when you get tossed back in the other little sharks will make fun
of the hole in your lip.

Also if you truly want to play the part, why not post in Nadsat
then all will know what a choodessny nadmenny molodoy Bog you are.

Thanks for the welcome.
