Do yourself a favor and get RE4.
It's one of the best games I have ever played. :)

same here. IT.... IS.... AWESOME....
omg, Ninjanaut, I've played u |
Pointless post score: 7.8/10
How about telling us why its so great? |

As far as RE4 goes... I want. Of course, I can't have because I only have an Xbox. Boo. I hear the AI is great,or at the very least, relentless. I would love to play something like that. |
I bought a gamecube just for RE4, and it's one of the best impulse buys I've ever made in my life.
Then again I'm getting paid 350$ a day for working on some lame slasher flick, so I guess I can afford to toss money around..Hell, luke, give me your address and I'll send you a cube and some zombie induced terror. No, seriously, this game is amazing. I was literally on the edge of my seat and grinding my teeth within the first twenty minutes of the game. Relentless? Yeah, but the AI is damned good too. It's near impossible to learn the villagers patterns or attack sequences...And believe you me, when they have you cornered in some corner of a village shanty, the last thing on your mind is how chainsaw boy is going to get in the house, but when. The controls are extremely tight and responsive, the graphics highly polished and the interactive cut-scenes continue the tension and nail biting when you think you're finally going to get a couple of minutes to kick back and enjoy the fantabulous visuals. The game is fifty, and the cube can be purchased for around $60 if you know where to look. Xbox fanboy or not, this game is a must have. |
Is it only on Gamecube?
|
yep and it's friggin awesome. I love those spanish bastards.
I was going to make this exact same thread too... |
Best game I've ever played.
Damn, I made a thread about this and no one responded. I even stated why I liked it. Bah, enough of my complaining, this game does have pretty good A.I. The villagers, or Ganado, may run from you if they only have a ranged weapon, but will attack from close range if the are unarmed or have melee wepeons. Some of the bastards even dodged my bullets. The chainsaw guy, he's freaky. And that oven ... wait I'm giving too much away. |
RE4 = ...???
I have a GameCube. Is my life sucking because I don't have this game? |
I've seen the trailer and some levels being played on some websites and it looks very good. Unfortunately, it's not out yet in Europe. But when it comes out, I'm getting it. Oh yeah and a Gamecube. I should have some money by then.
|
:
You have a Gamecube, then buy it if you have the money. |
It will also be on the PS2 at the end of the year.
With probably alot of the graphic stuff cut. |
and the deaths will probably be toned down.
I hope it looks like SHIT on the PS2 |
:
In fact most of the RE4 devlopment team left Capcom, including Shinji Mikami. Probably becuase they don't want to handle porting the game or becuase its not only on the Gamecube. |
yes...

I'm tired of your idiotic space wasting posts. Keep it up and earn yourself a warning. |
I bought a gamecube for those darn nintendo mascot games a while ago. Super Smash Brothers, Mario Kart. I later bought Metroid, which was awesome, except for the excessive backtracking. I've been waiting for a game worthy of my cube that wasn't so darn cutsey...not that I mind, but it seemed that was all the cube really had to offer until now.

I've got a cube, but I only have Zelda and Super Mario... CURSES! I'm saving for OW: S, (Isn't that pathetic? Bloody bills...) So should I do the same for RE4? I want Metroid, as well. Damn currency. I hate currency, but I also love currency. Argh.
|
Can you injure the villager peeps? Do they talk? If you can injure them, and you have knee-capped one of them so they can't walk/run away, does he scream for help?
Feel free to post some of your best RE4 moments here. |
I shall play it, if it arrives on PS2.
|
I don't even know what RE4 is.
I agree though oddguy. Nintendo in general licenses 'cutesy' games - besides Zelda and the Metroid series (which is AWESOME) do they have any good adventuring or RPG games? Apparently OW is on the Cube, but I've never seen or played an OW game before so I don't know how those are. Worms 3D is another awesome game for Cube. If you don't have it, I'd recommend getting it. It's great with friends. |
You can shoot villagers int the legs and they will kneel over and scream. They will eventually get back up, unless you kick them (Which sometimes makes their heads go pop). You can also shoot them in the head, if the bullet doesn't take it off they cover their face.

Heh. I loves me some free video games. Anyway, I heard that the game had 20+ hours of game-play, which is awesome considering most of the games I've finished recently have only taken 8-15 hours. How long did it take all of you to finish the game? |
Way longer than twenty hours, that's for god damned sure.
|
havn't finished it yet :(
|
Longer than twenty, just taking my time enjoying the little things. There is also replay value.
|
I'm 100% going to get this game, when it comes out in Australia Pal (March-May??) :(
I am also a Resident Evil fan (also Final Fantasy, Zelda, Star Wars) :
Its a surivor horror game, where you have to fight zombies and biologial terrors(monster). There's shooting bits mixed with puzzles, think Silent Hill the game that "evoled" from it , which RE copy from Alone in the Dark... EDIT:Yes its also coming out to the PS2, much to the anger of GCN owners (the game was orginal only for GCN). 20 hrs for the game!!?? Wonder what the time to clock for the rocket launcher (can't be a RE game with out it)?? |
You sure like your text colouring, don't you? :D
