Oddworld movie.
 
Does anyone know if theres an oddworld movie?I was on the internet movie database and I saw this oddworld movie part.Any body heard of this thing or seen this thing?I'd love to see something like this.
If no movie already, who do you think could direct a new one.(Someone other than Lorne Lanning, even though he'd be great)Any info on a movie? :confused:

I think it's certain that there's going to be an Oddworld movie (at least one) and I think Lorne & Sheri would do a great job directing, after all Sheri originally wanted Oddworld to be a movie.

Who know's when It will come out. There pretty swamped with Munch and Hand of Odd as it looks now. But, who knows, It could be out sooner than we think!

But, if you go to the internet movie database and type in oddworld not only do you get the games but also the movie from 1998.I think it was a short film or something.

Ah... you're referring to Abe's Exoddus: The Movie. This is a short film (runs for approx. 15 minutes) that was nominated for an Academy Award (Short Animation). It is made up of the FMVs from Abe's Exoddus and contains additonal footage featuring the FUD Newsreader (who is a Mudokon) reporting the events that occurred. Unfortunately it didn't win the Academy Award. Although it was the first (and only so far) video game nominated for an Academy Award.

As for full-length movies... these have been said to be 5 years away. The Oddworld Quintology was originally written to be a movie... but Lorne and Sherry decided to make it games. There will be one movie for each part of the Quintology.

:confused: hey, Ive heard of the award n all n even saw the end of the nomination where it showed a preview, but had never actually seen the short film. could any one point me to the right direction to the minimovie? I didnt even know that the fud picture wasnt from Munch! :eek:

All you have to do is go to the internet movie database.I'm not sure if you can play it or not.

You used to be able to download it from http://www.gte3.com/oddworld/index.asp in about 10 parts or something... but last time I tried to watch it, it never used to work.

I have it... those pictures are scanned from my copy.

The tape was only promotional (and possibly only Australian), so not many people would have it. I got mine on eBay. Where'd you get yours from Oddbodd?

I know this would never happen, but regarding the feature films, wouldn't it be unreal if Oddworld Inhabitants mixed computer generated graphics and puppetry to make an Oddworld movie. It would be like the Labrynth, but with more CGI.

This would never happen, but it's nice to think about.

I GOT AE ON COMPUTER FOR A PRESENT, I ALREADY HAD THE PSX VERION SO I DECIDED TO KEEP IT ANYWAY (I DIDN'T WASTE MONEY ON IT) SO I PLAYED IT AND I FOUND OUT THAT THE MOVIES WERE ALL STUFFED UP AND DIDN'T PLAY RIGHT. SO ME AND MY DADA COMPLAINED AND THEY SAID "EITHER WE CAN GIVE YOU ANOTHER COPY OR THIS TAPE" THE GUY PULLS OUT THIS TAPE THAT I HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE. I TOOK THE TAPE AND WENT HOME. A COUPLE OF MONTHS LATER I GAVE AWAY THE COMP GAME AS A GIFT AND KEPT THE TAPE. THE END!

oh and when i said the movies where stuffed it means that it went all black and froze. But if you press "spacebar" it skips the movie.

ooo.Computer animation with puppetry.Thats a fabulous idea,Sydney.(The animation on Labrynth is great.Well, the whole movie is great.)
ODDBODD,maybe the movies didn't play because you used the install disk.Ya have to use the play disk for the fmvs to play.HUH,HMM,HUH,HMM,HUH,HMM,HUH???
