Molluck Most Definately Alive...

...but not so well.

*Potential Spoiler from previous game-Munch's Oddysee and Also Stranger PreOrder DVD*

*****************************************************

Well, I got the Stranger DVD thing today and it seems the Magog on the March (from Abe's Exoddus) was originally intended to make a return appearance in Munch's Oddysee, but as developement changed and the story was altered it was scrapped. But in the three movies of it on the preorder dvd, finally the debate is over on Molluck's fate. I always figured he had survived but now we know its true he was originally set to face a trial date in the game and maybe part of a larger plot. Also, you can see he was to "challenge" Queen Margaret at his trial.

Anyways I understand most of the talk is now on Stranger and such, but I must admit for the first time in a long time after seeing all the new stranger stuff and demo videos, and new stuff from Oddworld Archives, I've been in a very Oddworld mood and very interested in discussing theories and generally yeah just getting into discussions about things here again. So anyways hope everyone who got the DVD and game are enjoying it! Peace

So, if I discuss Oddworld theories, will it be off-topic? If so, just kick me. :p

Not everyone has this DVD. Some are still waiting for it to come through the post (Like me) so this should be in the spoiler forum.

Well, Im not sure whether it should be or not, as it pertains to spoilers from previous games, and the spoiler forum is more based around Stranger spoilers. Although it is the Stranger DVD, I'll await one of the other mod's decisions on its placement.

I leave this topic in the GD...
anyway t's a good news Molluck is still alive, I realy loved the character

Al the Glukkon 01-29-2005 06:03 PM

Yes, I saw it was well. The M.O.M. news even had pictures of Molluck's and Margeret's heads with little boxing gloves attached to them.

Al, you're very cute, but I agree with Fuzzle Guy in thinking this should go in the Spoiler Forum. It may not be from Stranger's Wrath, but it's information on plot developments most people haven't yet seen from a product many people still do not have.

I always thought it was pretty much a dead cert that Molluck would return, but I'd always though he would return later once everyone had been given the chance to overlook his place in the big picture. However, I realised he was originally slated to appear in Munch's Oddysee when I saw him being interrogated by Lady Margaret in The Art of Oddworld Inhabitants.

:

Missing in action since the destruction of RuptureFarms, Molluck is the subject of an exhaustive search by his masters, who hope they’ll find Molluck alive if only so they can have him shot.

I remember reading that file at the Oddworld website before AE came out(its still there!!), so I always expect Mullock to make a return in a future game.

Still waiting...

How cool would it have been that the last bosses of Stranger was to capture Mullock, which would then lead into ME??

Woo! Excellent point. That would be a great way to get Stranger into the Abe and Munch side of Oddworld, without the all-too-obvious route of having him track the two heroes directly.

Alpha 02-08-2005 10:54 AM

they could end up meeting up with each other, good plot twist nobody would see it comin well cept us..

Dipstikk 02-08-2005 05:19 PM

Nope, couldn't work. Lorne says Stranger happens after the Munch saga or something.
