Oddworlds Best Art!!!!!
What is your fav piece of artwork from 'The art of Oddworld Inhabitants: The first Ten Years'
|
i dont know i love many of the art,
i realy like the Bird from Oddworld:) |
Possibly just the piece of art in the Inspiration section that show Ma'Spa, or the ones around it.
|
Now that's a hard question to answer. Even all the old pics look amazing in this book. But the Mongo river pic is one of my fav
|
That's hard to choose for me because I love 'em all! :D But if I had to pick, then I, like Esus, really like the Ma'Spa section. ;)

The Ma'Spa location... I would so love that to be included into another game... Wait- Munchs Exodus- Quest For Ma'Spa (Or my spa... ).
My only other favourite is the early Munch concepts. hey, I'm a sucker for Munch. :p |
people can get tto like the little amphibian
|
I can't decide, I'll have to get back to y'all later once I've thoroughly looked and read through it.
|
the landscapes...
especially the mudokon village, and Ma'Spa |
I couldn't pick just one. Though, I must say that I enjoyed the page with all the Munch concepts.

i cant realy pick they all were fantastic and blew my mind

What most people said, Ma' spa and the other locations (Mongo river, sound egine) I also love the MO ones, like Munch, concepts of missed things. Oh, and of course page 26-27 concepts.Plus the Vykkers and Vykker labs. Logos are cool too.
Mmmm.. |
I loved seeing the concepts that never made Munch's Oddysee (which seemed to be a worrying majority of them :p), as well as the early iterations for Munch (the creature made of three other creatures stuck together, with the breathing snorcal, is my favourite of those) and the art in the Concepts chapter were some of the things I enjoyed the most in the book, but I would have to say my favourite art was that of Abe's Oddysee. For me, it harkened back to a much more mysterious Oddworld, which was always dark and ruthless, but very confusing, to the point where I felt so naïve about it. Browsing the art and unused concepts brought back that feeling, and so stired up some tangeable feelings within, like all good art does.

what is this ma'spa you all speak of?
|
It's in the book. Ma'spa, it's like this big gabbit shaped temple with water flowing out, and pools.
|
Mine is the Big Musical thing.
|
You mean the "Song Engine"
|
You mean the kinto slaves? I like them too.
The image with the blimp done by Gautam Babber ,Raymond Swanland & Silvio Aebischer is nice. |
I wish I had the book :(
I'll have to pick it up once I round up the cash. Haven't purchased a book in so long. |
